HIM TRAINING Weeks 4 and 5

Only 6 more weeks until the big RACE !!!

Last week was a bit busy with being at camp and all. I wasn’t able to recap week 4 of training so this week I will recap both week 4 and 5 🙂

Monday:

Got in a full 30 minute swim 1,900 Yds + an hour of Spin!!

Tuesday:

5 mile run

Wednesday:

30 minute swim 2,000 yds + kickboxing!

Thursday:

22 mile bike ride

Friday: 

OFF 

Saturday:

44 mile bike ride

Sunday:

8 miles with Susie!

 

Weekly Totals:

  • Swim:  4,900 yds
  • Bike: 66 miles + 1 hour of spin
  • Run: 13 miles
  • Strength: 2 days + kickboxing

Monday:

an hour of Spin + an hour of weights!

Tuesday:

8 mile run

2,000 yd swim

Thursday:

1 hour of weights

Friday: 

HOT yoga!  

Saturday:

35 minute open water swim about 1,900 yds + 30 mile bike ride

Sunday:

REST=SICK

Weekly Totals:

  • Swim:  almost 4000 yds
  • Bike: 30 miles + 1 hour of spin
  • Run: 8 miles (sad)
  • Strength: 2 days + HOT YOGA!

 

I am really proud that I did a swim in the ocean this week. I am not so proud of my running, but I had to listen to my body and rest.

So I really need to start getting in my bike+run brick workouts in the next 6 weeks. Training so far has been a lot of fun, I only hope the next 6 weeks go just as well.

I will be doing a post on how to fuel before, during and after workouts while training for a Half Ironman! Stay tuned!
