    I’ve never heard of GPP. And I would say – I work out, at this point, mostly to lose weight, but also to be more healthy in general, to enjoy life more

  4. I work out in an attempt to loose weight and tone my body, but also because it makes me feel good. My life is quite unbalanced at the moment – too much time spent working ( 3 jobs! ) and putting other people first. Attempting balance is a constant struggle but I’m working on it. I am inspired by the fact that you left your full time job to do work you are passionate about – I hope to be able to do the same someday!

    I’ve never heard of GPP but I’d love to learn more!

  6. My friend just told me about gpp and I love the whole about them, the full thing, the balanced life, not just obsessing about fitness, but making sure to do it and be healthy, so you can be healthy in all aspects of life.

    I workout for the endrophins and yes I would love to be skinny one day (vain, yes but true)

    I started out to loose weight. Which I did. However, now I workout because I want to see what I am capable of. Working out has pushed me to be curious and find out that I can accomplish hard things and things that scare the he#@ out of me. Working out has shown me that I am capable of much, much more than I though I was. If it was biking 200+ miles, running a marathon, completing an Ironman, starting a business, climbing a mountain. Its amazing that my fitness has taught me all of these things.

    It was sure nice meeting you at the GPP Intensive Training last weekend. Awesome blog.

  8. Amazing post. Love that you did it by video. You are very brave. Not sure I’d dare.

    I workout so that I may more fully enjoy this human experience. So that I can lead a richer, fuller life. One not limited by capacity and/or self-induced disease.

  9. First, I’ve never heard of GPP and not sure what it is exactly. Second, I started working out because I needed to lose weight and while I’m still working on losing weight, I now workout because I love the way it makes me feel! I love the endorphins and I love getting stronger every day. Working out makes me feel like I can do anything!

    As far as balance goes, I strive to be balanced but I’m not quite there yet. I think working out and focusing on my health enables me to be better at all other areas of my life so I guess it helps me to be more balanced.

    I look forward to learning about this GPP. Hopefully, you’ll be talking more about it?

    I think my “life” balance is out of whack in some ways, which is kind of eye-opening after listening to your video! I think I need to take time to step back and really focus. I used to workout to lose ‘x’ amount of pounds or because of the six-pack abs. But I’ve had to change that focus because I would become so obsessed with the burn and what I was eating. Yes, I’m now ten pounds heavier than I was last summer but I think I’m in a better place mentally now. I’ve been doing CrossFit, which I think is similar to how you described GPP. I’m now to a point where I want to feel empowered and strong – and just plain happy. I’m hoping that my eating can become cleaner and healthier.

    Thank you for this amazing blog – and I’m thankful that I stumbled upon it recently. I think it is going to change my life a little bit.

    I work out first because I’m body serves to be the hands and feet of God. I can’t do what He asks me to do if my body isn’t strong and healthy and ready to Go when He says, “Go.” Secondly, I work out so that I can leave a healthy legacy for my family. I want my children to grow up with the belief that keeping your body healthy is just what we do. Lastly, I read about GPP Fitness and their beliefs/goals and I LOVE EVERYTHING ABOUT IT! I completely believe in what they are tying to accomplish. As you said earlier today on IG…so that I can be me…the best me…and balance is KEY.
    Thanks once again for what you stand for and for your encouragement.

  13. I workout because it makes me feel strong…it empowers me and boosts my self confidence. It much more than the aesthetic benefits…it’s about being healthy(still working on it) and setting a good example for my two boys. I workout because I am testing the limits of what my mind tells me I CAN’T and showing it that I CAN!! I workout for support…for the support I receive and the support I can give. I workout because I am developing a good relationship with the one person that I haven’t had one with….my body. I haven’t been a good “friend” to my body, and I am making up for it.

  14. I stay in shape so I can keep up with you! Hahaha! Well, that’s one reason among many! So I can run miles on trails wherever I want, so I can eat to my hearts content, and so I don’t have to pay for therapy! Hahaha!

  15. I work out to reach my goal of qualifying for the boston marathon, to stay in shape, to stay strong, and to be the best I can possibly be! Plus it makes me feel so strong and awesome!
