My Rustic Chic Themed “Baby” Shower

Words can not describe how blessed I feel for the amazing Welcome and Wine Shower that my beautiful friends threw for Rylee and I this past weekend. When they asked me what I would like, I told them something rustic and chic (with wine included) and I left the rest to them.

When I walked into my best friend D’s backyard, my jaw dropped to the ground at how beautiful everything looked and so detailed and perfect! From the flowers to the candles, I felt like I had walked on to a movie. Rylee was welcomed into an amazing community and we are so overjoyed at the love that has been poured out onto our family. Here are a few of my favorite pics from the beautiful evening…

  1. What a beautiful shower! My husband and I are adopting a baby, too and our friends have been asking what I want to do for a shower, and when. We are in the waiting phase so we are not matched yet but I like that you had a shower after Rylee was with you. More of a welcome party! So cute. Congratulations!

  2. My partner and I absolutely love your blog and find many of your post’s to be exactly I’m looking for.

can you offer guest writers to write content available for you?
I wouldn’t mind writing a post or elaborating on some of the subjects you write regarding here.
    Again, awesome blog!

  4. Four of our seven children have come to us through the blessing of adoption and while I have never had an adoption shower, we definitely get showered with love. The things that we need are taken care of as each one presents itself as only God can do!

  10. What a beautiful party! I especially love the “Sweet Thoughts” idea… that’s something she’ll treasure forever. I’ve never been to an adoption party before, but I had a few friends who gave birth early so the baby was the special guest at the party!

Yup! My friend didn’t want ANY shower or party, so a compromise was an open house style event. An older lady from our church did a devotional that left us all in tears. After years of infertility treatments and a failed adoption, my dear friend finally had her baby!
