Tuesday Tip: So I Fell Off…Now What?

Today’s lunch was all that was left in my fridge! I didn’t have a chance to get to the market this weekend so I just grabbed what I could. It actually turned out to be quite the healthy lunch. Back to eating normal 🙂

Tuesday Tip: So I Fell Off..Now what?

So many people ask me what to do when they have really over done it and have fallen off the health train. I know it is so easy to get back from a long vacation of eating unhealthy, drinking, and not doing any exercise and then you lose all motivation. I am human it’s not always easy for me either! But now I have trained my body to enjoy healthy food so it start’s to crave it when I have been away. I know that sounds crazy, but it’s true.

The first thing I do when I get back from vacation is drink a GM for breakfast and then eat as clean as possible for the entire week I am back. This helps me get right back into the groove and then I start to get back to my normal self. What I don’t do is step on the scale, go workout for 10 hours, obsesses if my jeans are a little tighter!! It’s ok to enjoy food and drinks while your on vacation, as long as you do it moderately and then get right back to eating healthy when you get back.

You know what I love to do most when I get back from vacation, because I am usually depressed! I tear our lots of recipes out of my Cooking Light and Health Magazine and get excited about making new things and trying new workouts. Spicing up my healthy lifestyle always helps me get over the vacation blues 🙂
