Sunday Prep Day & Her First Green Monster!

Thanks so much for your input about the new blog name, Hubby and I are still working out the details. It does look like I will get to keep NHerShoes!!! I really didn’t want to change the title of my blog so this works out perfect:)

HER CHALLENGES UPDATE

Well this MARCH MADNESS is off to a fantastic start. I am currently doing 4 challenges this month, I know I am crazy!

Carrot’s N Cake 31 Days of Yoga: I did Yoga 6 days this week and every day I loved it. I only missed one day because I FORGOT! It has been a bit challenging, because I don’t have a lot of balance and my legs are always tight after my runs. I know these things will get better as I continue my practice the next 25 days.

The MBBC: My total for the week was 75.5points!!! I eat a lot more veggies and fruit then I thought, and that 18 mile run sure did help! I do need to be drinking a lot more water though.

Personal Challenge: I am not revealing until the 40 days are up, but it’s going ok, I need to put more effort in to it.

LENT: No sweets week was ok, had a lot of temptations! I am realizing the sacrifice, and it has been a humbling experience.

Today has been rather productive, even though this time change is making it go by so FAST! I got the house cleaned, meals planned, caught up on emails, and prepped food for the week.

HER MAD PREP SKILLS

On Sundays I like to get all my meals and food ready for the week. This makes for a smoother week of EATS. To start off with I would like to show you all my recent find! I am obsessed with BAGS even LUNCH BAGS! I think this one is going to work perfect:)(I am sure I have said that before).

I found this bag at Target, it’s actually a mini cooler! With all the food I haul to school this should be great for my lunches and snacks. AND ITS SUPER CUTE! I heart polka dots.

7

Look at all that ROOM!!! I made some home-made blackeye-pea burgers for lunch this week, same recipe as the black bean burgers, I just used blackeye peas because we had a bazillion of them.

Ready to GRAB AND GO!

Some people asked about this wonderful food container. I found it at Marshalls, but I know you can get them here too. Maybe they will let me do a give-away!

All that productiveness made me hungry, so hungry that I forgot to take a picture of my lunch!!! LOL..I just had leftovers from PF Chang’s and then made a GREEN MONSTER! It is about time.

HER FIRST GREEN MONSTER

Everyone has been raving about these juices, and I have been wanting to give them a try for quite some time now. I was a little afraid of what this was going to taste like, but I am one to TRY anything.

I used Angela’s recipe,

  • 1 leave of organic kale
  • 1 cup Almond Breeze
  • 1 Tbsp flax
  • 1 ripe banana( I used 1/2)
  • 1/4 cup organic frozen blueberries
  • 1 Tbsp  Almond Butter

    9

Check out that AB ooo no!!! I forgot about the banana at the last minuet.

    11

I also added a little of Odwalla Vanilla Al’Mondo Protein for some extra protein.

    13

    This just doesn’t look right…….

    10

ooooo la la…it looks GREEN! Why did it take me so long to try this?!!! It was amazing. It tasted a lot like a banana shake, I couldn’t taste the Kale at ALL!

    14

Will be having again very soon!

I am teaching Kickboxing at 5:30 tonight so I will be having a late dinner, not sure what to make. I was thinking Italian, any ideas???

Question for the day: Do you prep your meals on Sunday? If so what do you prep???
