{Weekend Wrap-Up}

Sometimes you have one of those weeks where by the Friday you feel empty but then the weekend happens and by Sunday your glass is all filled up! Thank goodness for SPRING SUNSHINE!

Saturday I got in a wonderful 14 mile run (2 more weekends of “long runs” till Boston). My legs are feeling great! I am so glad I bought new Asics before I started training! My heel was starting to bother me, but with the new shoes the pain has already gone away.

After the run, I finally enjoyed some of the Olive Avenue Market’s breakfast tacos! These were incredible! Homemade tortillas, egg whites, avocados, red onion, jalapeños, and salsa. The corn tortillas made it perfect.

Later on Saturday I spent some time with my sweet cousin. We had a full afternoon of shopping, wine tasting, and free ice-cream from A La Minute! A local boutique in town called Nectar celebrated its 5th anniversary by hosting a warehouse sale, with $5, $10, and $15 racks! We scored big time!!!!

Two maxi dresses, two fancy dresses, shorts, a purse (my favorite) and a simple cardigan! I love shopping local. Smile

As if the day couldn’t get any better, the hubby and I had a date night/birthday party to attend.

We enjoyed some Thai food at Mu and I tried my first lemon drop martini!

The party was a lot of fun! I love celebrating with friends who are practically family!

Sunday morning alarm aka RJ, was up bright and early to help Mama and Daddy get ready for the week. I like to get up extra early on Sundays to prep and pray for the week ahead. This time RJ and Daddy joined me.

We got our Sunday best on for Church. We started attending a more local church. Now that we have RJ the hour commute that we have been making for the past two years was just getting too hard. We are so blessed that a church in Redlands just open their doors a few weeks ago! It couldn’t be better timing!

After church we enjoyed the beautiful day outside at Chipotle. Man, this girl just cracks us up!

Than I was off for a 20 mile bike ride with my girl Susie.

Our bike rides are the best! We take it nice and easy and enjoy every ounce of the sunshine and view. Oh, did I tell you I am training for a half iron man after Boston?! More on that to come.

Our Sunday ended with the opening night game of baseball!!! I am pretty sure every Sunday night from here on out will be at the “ball game”. WE LOVE BASEBALL SEASON!

Such a beautiful and refreshing weekend!

Questions: What was the high of your weekend and what was your low?

  1. With havin so much content do you ever run into any issues of
plagorism or copyright infringement? My site has a lot of exckusive content I’ve either authored myself or outsourced but it looks like
a lot of it is popping it uup all over the web without my agreement.
Do you know any ways to help stop content from being ripped off?
    I’d genuinely aplpreciate it.

  2. It looks like you had a wonderful weekend! The high was going to see the muppets with my husband and daughter, and the low was it ending;) And I agree with you, local shopping is the best! You did well!!!

  3. High = visiting family & friends in the cities. After feeling like I had been in funk I couldn’t shake, a weekend away from home definitely helped. With my cousin + ‘niece’, we shopped, went to a barre class, had a happy hour dinner, and a night with Netflix and fruit tart from Whole Foods. Plus, I was able to have a four-hour “date” with a blend and spent Sunday afternoon seeing my sister and niece!
Low = coming home, and feeling sickish on Sunday.

  4. I had a wonderful weekend with some friends. We met in a town overnight where we ran a half marathon (One friend and mine’s second and my friend’s first). It was at a winery and the packet pickup was a wine bar. Needless to say, we had lots of wine and I brought home lots of wine. Also, it was beautiful weather. We don’t get many of these weekends in Texas.

  5. High: Getting 2 great runs in and having an extra day off that I am normally working.

Low: Completely getting off track on my eats. I love giving in ab it more on the weekends but this one was a little much. Thankfully I am focused on getting back on track this week!
