Friday night was LADIES night at the spa. It’s a miracle to get all 7 of us ladies together and we finally did it!
Our toes are ready for SUMMER!
After the spa we hit up a local Thai place for dinner. CHEERS for fun nights on the patio. I enjoyed a chicken salad with peanut dressing (forgot to take a pic).
Saturday morning I woke up BRIGHT and early for Bootcamp! This summer I am hosting a fun boot camp in the park for local friends and families as well as Beachbody Challengers. It couldn’t have been a more beautiful morning and I can’t wait to see more people come.
I worked a full 8 hour shift at work and then surprised Hubby with the ultimate date night!! I got Dodgers Vs. Cardinals tickets! I am a huge Dodgers fan and Hubby loves the Cardinals. We haven’t been to a Dodgers game in about two years!
It was the most beautiful evening in LA! We heart baseball. I enjoyed a Blue Moon and of course an all beef Dodger Dog. It’s just not baseball without a beer and dog.
We had such a great night and are officially ready for summer! When we woke up look who decided to sneak in bed with us! Mr.B is part human.
While I got up to get ready for work, Bosco took my place. Isn’t he the cutest?
I haven’t worked a Sunday in a while and with the long week I wanted nothing more than to throw my hair in bed, put my comfy shoes on and go all comfy to work! Loving arm swag
Summers are the best at WORK!
After I got off work I finally made it to the gym! It took everything in me to leave my air conditioned house and go out for a sweat! Half the battle is getting to the gym
I did this circuit three times and got in an awesome workout!!! A sweaty Sunday is a good Sunday to me.
Sunday nights for the Hubby and I in the summer are GRILLIN’ nights! So last night we fired up the grill and threw on a burger for the Hubby and tilapia for me. I also made my wonderful Brussel Sprout Goodness (I added diced carrots, celery, and onion).
All I added to my Tilapia was a little lime and this secret ingredient purchased from Costco.
I also baked some of Alexia’s Sweet potato Fries!
The rest of the evening was all about chillin’ on the couch and watching sports. Mr.B’s stance is what Sunday’s were made for.
Time to get my Monday prep on!!
Things to come on NHerShoes this week:
*Visit it to the Love Pad!
*Back to the Garden.
*20 Minute Tuesdays are BACK!
*Fitmixer Bootcamp Update.
*Gym Makeover
Happy MONDAY fun day!!

t want to risk my bum being sore! When I got home I made my last bowl of cranberry oats for a while, sad day.
Breakfast Combo:
½ c oats
1 c of unsweetened almond milk
Dash of cinnamon
Dash of nutmeg
2 tablespoons of Hemp Seed
¼ c homemade cranberry sauce
Spoonful of apple butter
Drizzle of agave nectar
A little bit of blueberry granola plank

Before I headed to the gym I had a slice of whole wheat toast with Barneys butter and honey, it gave me the energy I needed to get through my class.
BOSCO SAYS GOODBYE FOR A WEEK
This was hard and even Bosco shed a tear.

It’s ok Bosco Grandma and Grandpa will take good care of you!
CAMELBACK WATER BOTTLE
I have already put my new Camelback water bottle to the test, it works great! I love that it has a straw so clumsy me doesnâ€
t spill all over misled. Look it fits perfect in my bag too!

POTM WINNERS you are going to love this!
HOME ALONE LIKE
When I got done with breakfast I was running around frantically trying to get everything together for my trip. I Miss my hubby, he so good at getting everything taken care for the house before we leave on trips. Donâ€
t get me wrong I am fully capable of taking care of things; itâ€
s just nice to have his support! After loading all the bags in the car, and getting Bosco stuff together to head to his grandparents house it was 11:40 and my plane was leaving at 12:55…needless to say I was stressing. I made it to the airport fine, thanks to my Step Dad Richard, thanks RICH! I thought I was going to have to chase after the plane like the movie HOME ALONE! Got on the plane, and even had a few minutes to spare, and this is where a funny little story comes in.
I GOT HIT ON
As I was going through the security gate this nice gentleman (so I thought at the time) decided to HIT on me. He first gave the line “I think I know you from somewhere†and as SWEET as I am I said “really where are you from†he said, “aroundâ€. Ok now I was catching on. He then proceeded to speak and said, “Youâ€
re a teacher arenâ€
t you†WHAT man how did he know is he a profiler! Lol…being the nice person that I am I said yes and then hoped he would just go away oooo but no he continued to flirt with me. “ If youâ€
re a teacher maybe you can teach me a thing or tow†DUDE do you not see the giant ROCK on my left finger…I laughed and quietly got the heck out of DODGE.

Now I am sitting in Las Vegas waiting to board my plane to Nashville and thought I would give you all my plan for working out this week(this is more for me because I need the accountability).

CHALLENGE
Attention all runners, I would like to keep us all motivated for a run on Thanksgiving morning, So hereâ€
s the deal, comment to me before Thanksgiving on what your plans are for running Thanksgiving morning and then the night before Thanksgiving I will post everyoneâ€
s running goals to pump everyone up!!! What do you think are you in?
Alright I am off to catch my plane. See you back tonight with all the weather and food updates from the South….
P.S it was 87 degrees today in SoCal I felt kinda funny wearing long sleeves and a scarf in the airport!
]]>Well since being gone, I have not eaten very well, and have not exercised I need to detoxify! So today thatâ€
s what I am doing, lotâ€
s of fruits and veggies and water.
I wanted to run this morning, didnâ€
t happen body needed rest. But I did get to sit and eat cranberry oats while hubby and Bosco read the paper together:)

Plan for the next two days until VACATION:
-eat lots of REAL food
-run
-kick box
-Yoga
-pack
-clean
-plan out vacation
PILE ON THE MILES CHALLENGE UPDATE
I wanted to give those of you in who are participating in the PILE ON THE MILES CHALLENGE, a sneak peak about some things that are going to be in the winners goodie baggy (a little incentive to keep running hard). I have a couple sponsors that are sending me some very cool things to throw in the GB (goodie bag). Here is the first peak, a Gas Cap….

I wore this amazing hat, in the ST. George Marathon. I felt a little goofy at first, but quickly got over that. I loved the way you could stick your gels in the hat and grab them conveniently.
Patented designed, with special inserts that snugly & comfortably hold gel packets.
· Reduce the weight & bounce of a fuel belt
· Keep your gels close & convenient
· Stay fueled up & light on your feet
It was so convenient and comfy!!!! I am so excited to give one of these to a the winner.
GREAT THANKSGIVING CHALLENGE UPDATE
Surprisingly hubby updated me on our total grocery bill for this month so far and it was only $100! We are almost to Thanksgiving and are going to make our budget! I canâ€
t wait to send a gift card to my brother in the mail this week.
VACATION PLANS
I only have 48 hours until I leave for Nashville for thanksgiving with the In-laws. Hubby is leaving on Saturday because he had a FREE ticket and was limited on the days he could fly out, and because I have work I couldn’tâ€
t leave. So I will be home Friday night alone again, which means cleaning and packing! Then Saturday morning I will be flying solo, which will be good because I can catch up on reading and finish my scarf (I am almost done with it).
I am excited about heading out to Memphis for Thanksgiving, we are only there are a week so we have to plan accordingly. We want to hit up all the best eateries we miss, friends, and family. I am hoping to see college roomies, and get in a lot of running since I only have 19 miles logged since the 8th!!!!! Man I am slacking, but with vacation that means more time, and I am one of those crazy ones that love to work out on vacation, do any of you readers do that too???
Well I am off to work on this Thursday morning hoping to eat healthy, go to kickboxing tonight, and then couples study. I hope not to be stressed these next two days as I am packing and planning for Holidays. How do you deal with stress of the Holiday? DO you have any? I tend to just write as much as I can down so that I donâ€
t have to worry about it, havenâ€
t done ANY of that yet! There is still the shopping list, Christmas cards to make, send out, and have that annual Christmas party to PLAN! I WILL NOT get stressed, I WILL NOT get stressed, I WILL NOT get stressed!!!! (Must put a massage on that list)
P.S. When I got home from AZ I received all of these wonderful samples from ProBar, and Snacktration!!!! Can’t wait to try them:)

Oh how the fall is my favorite time of year, where the leaves change and the air cools. I love wakening up in the early morning and just laying in bed to keep warm, and then as I step out the door to begin my day I am all layered up in my fall wardrobe (well soon if it ever gets cold here) I truly look at the cloudy days, and rainy days as blessings in disguise, because if it wasn’t for the yucky days we wouldn’t appreciate the beautiful Autumn ones.
Wouldn’t it be nice to be a kid again for a day? To live life as though there werenâ€
t anything you really had control over so there was no use worrying. I mean I know that we control our decisions and our steps, but really we don’t, we know so little compared to our maker. Who grants us Grace everywhere we look, we even see his Grace in creation, in the people to the left and right of us. Thatâ€
s what I want to aspire to be the very reflection of Grace and true Thankfulness…What does that look like?
This morning I woke up and took Bosco for a walk. I havenâ€
t gone for a walk in a long time. It felt good just to look around at all the beauty, to pray, and just be still. I know technically I was moving but kind of like Mississippi, slowly.
When I got back home I made a big bowl of Cranberry Oats in my new bowl, I think these are my favorite. There is something about cranberries in oatmeal that makes my mouth pucker with excitement.
Cranberry Oats Combo:
1/2 c oats
1/4 c H2O
1/2 c almond milk (not as creamy but good)
1/4 cup homemade cranberry sauce (warm this up separately)
a little Honest foods Blueberry Vanilla Almond granola plank
handful of almonds
handful of flax seeds spoonful of apple butter( got this at Marshallâ€
s NO SUGAR added)
2 tbs of Hemp seeds for protein

We have a big day ahead of us! Were going to Church this morning and then I have a fun Holiday scrap booking workshop at Collective Journeys. Then tonight we are going to a house warming party, then I teach AKB, and lastly we have a softball game! The day is just begun, have a beautiful one:) I thought Sundays were for REST…lol
Hubby and I decided to stay home and hand out treats to the trick-or-treaters and we were the ONLY ones with the lights on, on our block. So we had TWO kids come to our house, now what do we do with all the leftover candy!!! Well at least dinner was fabulous:) We made some homemade pizza, well almost all homemade.

Our front door with NO kids…:(

So after the carnival we had to decide where to eat out. These days I am super picky where we eat out for two reasons, on being that we try and only go out once a week so I want to make it special, and secondly I want to eat something that is not only deleciouse but somewhat healthful. Hubby wanted Chinease, and I used to love Chinease but a few too many food hangovers and I might have to say goodbye forever, unless I make it at home. Because there is a Chinease take out place right next to Tj’s, I decided to grab dinner there and that way we could both have what we wanted. As I browsed the isles in my cheer outfit, I had so many people come up to me and ask if I had a game tonight. Too FUNNY! I was still so indecisive on what to eat, I was thinking salad but that was boring so I got a cheesless veggie pizza and a bottle of wine (and since I was there I picked up a few things of course). I got some pumpkin butter which I loved from last year and some sweet potato french fries.

My run rocked this morning! I ran for 42 minutes, total of 5 miles, 8:15pace, and burned 600 calories. It felt so good to be out there running, I have missed it. My body felt great, hammys a little sore but not too bad. I had a great stretch after and did 30 Push up and some plank moves. Needed a LARABAR for a quick snack.
