This Shred is going to be a little different than my previous summer shreds. I am going back to basics! I think that sometimes we complicate healthy living and forget how much just moving more and eating clean really is the secret to long lasting healthy living! So we will be doing a lot of body weight exercises as well as using free weights. You can do these workouts at home or at the gym. It will be a combination of high intensity intervals and strength training. Like always my workouts are quick and efficient! None of this hour long workout stuff. You will be done in less than 40 minutes and burning fat like crazy!

Most importantly my main goal for you all is to be Healthy and WHOLE in mind, body and soul. This Shred I will be adding in my Soul Shred devotionals. Encouraging you to spend some time feeding your soul before your day starts.

Like always we will have an awesome Facebook Group where we can cheer each other on. It is so important to find like minded friends that are on the same fitness journey! MEAL PLAN:

I am encouraging you to have one cheat day a week (your choice) that you can enjoy sweets or an adult beverage (all in moderation, of course). That means six days to eat as clean and as balanced as possible; sticking to six small meals a day that incorporate a protein, complex carb and fat. I will also be sending you out a Meal Plan to stick to each week on Saturday mornings, as well as a BRIDAL SHRED specific shopping list! This will include vegetarian options as well! Obviously everyone’s needs are different, so I will be encouraging everyone to get onto MyFitnessPal and log their daily eats and workouts to meet their daily recommended number of calories to help them with their goals.

We are currently in Week 3 of the New Year’s Shred and everyone is doing incredible!!!

A lot of people jumped in with me to do the GPP RESET and are dropping inches! Did you miss the chance to get in? Were you just on the fence? Guess what?!!! I am going to offer the New Year’s Shred for a Round 2 for the month in February!

A few non scale and scale victories from January’s Shred:

“I am feeling thin and healthy. Stronger”

“I am down another 2lbs. this week. My ‪#‎NSV‬ this week is that I’ve done all of the workouts plus some running to bring my activity for each day to 60 minutes. I’ve been tempted a few times but I’m sticking to clean eats and feeling great?

“I did yesterday’s workout with my sister-in-law (who’s 25, has no kids and is super fit)…I totally kept up with her on the workout!! I can feel myself getting stronger!! Can I get a whoop whoop?!??”

“Today I was down another 2.4 pounds with makes 4 1/2 total. I am pleased, yet wished I had done better with my workouts this week. Next week I plan to stick to clean eating and complete ALL of Bobbi’s workouts for week 3. This Shred is going to be a different than the Holiday Shred in that the goal is to drop a few pounds (some have dropped up to 12 pounds in previous years) and the Meal Plans are a lot more strict, but still a healthy balance. During this Shred, we will be focusing on “restarting” and really cleaning out the processed foods out of our diets. It isn’t a detox or some crazy low-calorie diet, just more simple and clean. The workouts will be a little longer, but you can do them from home and incorporate running if you are a runner.

This Shred is for anyone and everyone no matter where you live. I have coached over 1,500 clients to be in the best optimal health of their lives and it is these successes that keep me wanting to coach!

If you wish not to follow these meals, the food choices are completely up to you, however, I would recommend for you to choose foods on the Clean Food List and the required amounts as listed on the plan. It is super busy around here, getting ready for our 3rd Refresh Summit in less than two weeks! I can’t not wait to head out to Tennessee and squeeze so many of my favorite people. I also can’t wait to be in a state that actually is enjoying FALL! I mean, I am enjoying it over here…well we Southern California’s are pretending to.

On Sunday I finished my very first week of the 21 Day Fix and  I LOVED LOVED LOVED it! Seriously one of the simplest plans I have ever followed, it reminds me a lot of my Shred’s (I think she copied me..ok not really). But I am truly LOVING IT!

EATS

The key to this plan is MEAL PREP as really any clean eating lifestyle is. You have a container for your fats, proteins, carbs,fruits, vegetables, and dressing/seeds. You also get tsps of nut butters and oils.

I have been using the 21 Day Fix App (free) and it has helped me stay on track! I also found this great print out that is great for planning our meals out for the week. Oh yes, hubby is doing this with me!

WORKOUTS

Included with this program is a 30-minute workout for each day (JUST 30 minutes friends) of the week and the only additional items you need are dumbbells or resistance bands and a yoga mat. If you order the program through a Beachbody Coach (UM…ME)  you also receive a Bonus Workout called Plyo Fix. There is a moderator in every workout, so you can either follow her if you are new to fitness or you always have the option of following the group for as long as you can and then switching to the modified move if you begin to get tired. I love this because it offers lots of room for growth and lets face it, not every workout is our best.

WEIGH IN 

I weighed in at 3 pounds less this week and lost 1 inch on my waist,  0 inches in my hips, 1/2 an inch on my arm and .5 inches in each thigh! I am not focusing on the scale, more on how my jeans and clothes fit and how I feel on the inside and man am I feeling like a million bucks! Hubby lost 4 pounds!

WEEKLY THOUGHTS

I love how this program is something I can see myself doing again and again! The balance is my favorite part and it’s really helped me to watch my portions without feeling deprived. The workouts are realistic, I am all about short efficient workouts that work! I did have a some wine over the weekend, but nothing too overboard and was a lot more mindful about snacking.

I leave for Tennessee on Tuesday and plan to finish out well, I want to see how this can be a lifestyle and I love watching the ladies in my challenge group make some pretty amazing lifestyle changes that is bringing them happiness and joy!

Today I officially started my first ever 21 Day Fix! I am excited to coach a group of ladies over the next 21 days to a healthier  version of themselves! It’s going to be such a great journey. The biggest part of this challenge is the food portion. We all know that 80% of what you put into your bodies is what we look like and effects how we feel. I like this program because it’s all about balance and portion control. A lot like other programs I have done, but this one is great because it gives you the tools to truly be successful!

I went shopping yesterday for all our meals and even did a meal prep video on Periscope (are you following me? nhershoes). I will be snapchatting all my meals as well so you can follow me there too (nhershoes). I am excited to see how the program truly works and I know if people do the 30 minute workouts 5 days a week and stick to the program they will see great results.

Here are my before pictures and I can’t wait to take my after. I am happy with the way I look, but the vacations we took in September left me feeling a little yucky on the inside. So feeling great on the inside is my #1 goal!!!

Today, I am so thrilled to announce something that I will be putting on in October and I want all of you to be a part of! I will be putting on a nHerShoes October 21 Dax Fix Challenge we will be doing the 21 Day Fix Program (and Cize if you would like) plus some awesome CHALLENGE ideas from me!

What is the 21 Day Fix?

Simple! You know how most workout programs come with a nutrition guide that takes you days to read and then you spend a ton of money on groceries to try an follow the nutrition guide? 21 Day Fix focus on portion control. It even comes with special 21 Day Fix Portion Control Containers that you use throughout the program. If it doesn’t fit in the containers, then you can’t eat it. If it does, eat it! Simple!

21 Day Fix Workouts

21 Day Fix consists of 7 different 30 minute workouts, that are done for a three week period. The trainer, Autumn Calabrese keeps all the workouts very simple, so anyone at any fitness level can jump in, and get incredible results. Autumn Calabrese is a celebrity trainer and National Bikini Competitor. What workouts come with 21 Day Fix?

  • Dirty 30 workout
  • Total Body Cardio Fix
  • Upper Fix
  • Lower Fix
  • Pilates Fix
  • Cardio Fix
  • Yoga Fix

Total Body Cardio Fix is actually your first workout, so why don’t we give you a glimpse of the workout, so you know what to expect from 21 Day Fix.

We are here to lift each other up for the duration of the challenge. We also take before & after pictures and measurements. I want you to physically see the results that you have gained during the challenge as well as NON SCALE VICTORIES.

Today, I am so thrilled to announce something that I will be putting on in September and I want all of you to be a part of!

With Fall being just around the corner, that means we will all be getting back to a new routine or maybe we just need to mix things up a bit post summer. Well, since I just recently got certified in Zumba, I have now found a new love of DANCING! I mean, I have always loved to dance, but now I love it for the great workout it is and how it just makes me so HAPPY.

Well guess what? Shaun T, creator of Insanity and T-25, has come out with a new workout program called Cize! It’s seriously so fun and doesn’t feel like your typical exercising at all, but man do you SWEAT. The program features six dance routines that are completely broken down for you. There’s also a meal plan that goes along with it.

When I heard about Cize and saw the program, I just had to get it and I wanted to invite you all to join me for the month of September to sweat it up a bit in a fun new way!

I mean, I love the nHerShoes Shred programs, but thought mixing it up and adding something new to our routines could be the best things for our minds, bodies and souls! The best best part is, ANYONE can do it and you can do it from your living room!
