I am actually not as sad as I usually am that it’s all over. I think I am looking forward to a new year of many new beginnings and new memories to be had.
CHRISTMAS RECAP:
Christmas Eve was spent at two houses! But before we went to celebrate with family Hubby and I exchanged ornaments. It’s a tradition Hubby and I made our first Christmas and it is so much fun!
The trick is we have to make them. This year I put Bosco’s paw print on an ornament and Hubby decorated this beautiful bell. I will show you better pictures soon.
Then it was off to Grandpas house!!
Where we ate tamales and pasole my favorite!
We also did our annual Santa exchange and Hubby and I made out with a gift certificate to Olive Garden and fun new game!
Then we headed over to my other side of the family and that’s when I started to get real sick!
We only stayed for a little bit and then went home to rest up. I had a fever, soar throat and a really bad sinus headache. As soon as I sat down with a hot cup of tea I started to feel amazing!!! It was a Christmas miracle!
We all slept in on Christmas morning and then made breakfast. We used to open presents first but eating before is so much better!
My plate was filled with fresh biscuits (Hubby made) Cinnamon rolls, Jimmy Dean sausage and cheese balls, eggs, Chobani yogurt and fruit!
Then it was present time!!!
In my stocking was a clue to a gift scavenger hunt Hubby had created! Each gift I found would have another clue and so on and so on. Isn’t he the best?!
Such a fun way to find gifts! After our breakfast at home we cleaned up and got ready to head to my Dads house for lunch (it’s just like the movie Four Christmas’s).
My Dad is the king of tablescapes!
I enjoyed some more tamales!!
Then we all opened more presents and just relaxed for the afternoon. Before I knew it we were off to my Moms house for Christmas dinner. Where I found this photo of my youngest brother and I, now he can pick me up
such sweet memories.
We ate and opened more gifts! Mom hooked us up with some nice jackets! She has great taste.
As well as a running jacket!
So much fun was had and then again I started to get sick! We came home I had some more hot tea and went to bed at 9pm and slept in until 7am! I woke up feeling all stuffed up so I loaded up on drugs!
I am going back to work today and have a long day a head of me. Praying this cold will go away fast!!!!
Besides getting sick this Holiday was beautiful. Celebrating Christ’s birth and one another is what I call a wonderful Christmas!
Hi Ho Hi Ho it’s back to work I go!
Question: Did you have a wonderful Christmas?
P.S. One of the best gifts I got was my guitar all fixed up. It’s been missing some strings for a while so my brother fixed it and promises to give me lessons! I already learned silent night!

On the road back home…

This morning I enjoyed one of my favorite Christmas breakfasts, eggs and tamales! Is this a Mexican thing or a California thing?! I have heard mixed opinions.
I also wrapped the last of the gifts and did all my last minute errands!!! In there I got in some much needed best friend time with D & baby E.
All LIPS! Too adorable
After our friend date, I went to KB interval class where Ian and Tom kicked butt!!! I swear we did 500 Burpees, Mountain Climbers and Pushups!!!
I was happy to have an easy, healthy, and delicious meal planned for this busy day, whole wheat spaghetti and turkey meatballs.
After dinner, Hubby and I got all bundled up to head out to the city of Alta Loma for an amazing night of Christmas lights!!!
The whole street is super decked out with hot coco, cookies, brownies and more!
Such a festive night! Time to slip on my slippers, get that HOT drink and put on my movie
but will call it an early night because tomorrow I WILL go for a run!!! It’s been over a week
I just hate running in the cold. I will and I can!
Sorry I was a MIA all weekend. I had a two Christmas parties and a birthday party to attend, but I did find time for some hot yoga and…
…kickboxing!
On Saturday night, we had Hubby’s team at work over for a little Holiday Get-Together. I made appetizers for children and adults.
It’s amazing how simple these are and yet they were the hit of the party! Beef + Croissant Rolls = Gone in Three Seconds!
We did another White Elephant Gift Exchange and look how awesome Hubby’s gift was!
We had a great time with friends and Sunday there was even more holiday festivities
I had an amazing coffee date with my dear friend Val and it was just what I needed. I feel so blessed to have friends who I can talk to that truly care about me as I them. I love friendship and I think I take it for granted to often! ‘Tis the season to be reminded of love!
After coffee, I went to my niece Alysse’s birthday party!! I was so happy to see her, she’s getting so big!!!!
The partying didn’t end there. Then I was off to a little girls night of holiday baking at my cousins house
We each brought a recipe and the ingredients to bake and share with everyone!! It was a lot of fun. I made the easiest recipe in the world, but super delish! Oreo (Joe-Joe’s) stuffed brownies.
Messy but yummy! Sorry no pic
I loved these Tuxedo Santa Brownies that one of the girls made, so darling.
We also enjoyed a lasagna dinner and a little vino
After all the fun baking we plopped on the couch and enjoyed the movie The Holiday. I think we did more talking then watching though!
I have the whole week off so excited!! I have big plans to reorganize some stuff in the house (not sure any of that will happen) and finish some last minute Christmas shopping.
We are also going to Arizona to visit my brother for a couple days and then it’s Christmas!! Only 6 more days, who’s ready?
P.S only 2 more days of the Holiday Shred!!! Wow time flies
Who knew Bunco with boys could be so fun?!
Everyone brought an appetizer and drink to share… everything was delish!!
Lots of Holiday cheer
I made a yummy Holiday Sangria. Two bottles of 2-Buck-Chuck, 1 cup of sugar, 1 cup Brandy, chopped green and red apples and orange slices. I soaked it for two days!
I also picked up some appetizers from Fresh & Easy. They make parties easy!!!
I had a full plate of all the wonderful bites.
The head table was the best to be at because you got to sit next to the cozy fire.
We played for 3 full hours! The boys loved it!
Guess who won the pot?!!!! Me!!! So much fun!!
Woke up early even though we went to bed past 1am. Gotta love the internal clock!
Have a great Saturday friends! I have another party to get ready for at our house. Just call me the party queen!
]]>It’s been a wonderful busy Thursday!!! Can you believe we only have 10 days until Christmas?! Who’s ready?
Today at work we did a internal office party and had a White Elephant Gift Exchange. So fun! Loved it!
Then it was off to another Christmas party!! My running buddy Susie invited me to her Law Office Christmas Party. It was fun to have another excuse to get all dolled up
We had lots of yummy appetizers provided by a local catering company.
And the desserts were too cute!
I stuck with one glass of red wine and a lite taste of everything! It was great to meet Susie’s work friends, if you know anything about being running buddies you know how much life we share with each other!
After another night of partying
I am in my jammies and ready for another Christmas movie!!! I love this time of year.
I will be sad when this nightly tradition is over
Yep, it snowed!!!
Today we moved offices all day and I really didn’t even have a chance to eat, but I did have leftovers from last night’s spontaneous Thai date
This is Rama meat and reminds me of the chicken satay we make at home.
Best thing about moving day at work is I got to wear my comfy sweater and jeans!!! I could live in this sweater.
We take work very serious î…
After a long day of physical labor I got all dolled up for my third Christmas party this week!
Hubby and I have the joy of working at the same place and we always have a wonderful time celebrating the holidays with our friends who are more like family!
We had a nice spaghetti meal, nothing much to rave about.
But they did have cake balls!!! I had a bite. Oh it was worth it.
The McCormick’s clean up quite nice, don’t you think
As well as the ladies in my office.
We sang songs and played games, such a great way to celebrate! I miss singing carols.
Now time for a hot drink and to watch some Grinch!!!
Oh wait!! I have a twenty minute Tuesday workout for you all. I got it from my friend Val it kicks butt!!!
Night!
]]>How is your Monday going? Ok so I have sad news. You might have noticed that I have been taking a lot of pictures with my phone, well it is because my computer is broke
It started off just being finicky, but now it won’t hold any charge and it’s pretty frustrating to blog on. So to make a long story short, I am kinda hoping Santa brings me a new one so I can blog my pretty photos again
OK on to the party!!! I invited the ladies over from work for a little Holiday Bunco last night. This is the first of 5 Holiday party’s I have this week!!!
I wore a cozy sweater and my new red scarf, the most comfortable outfit of all!
Everyone brought their favorite appetizers and desserts.
An amazing spread of treats!
There was even fresh baked Cinnamon rolls!
I provided the drinks. I made a non-alcoholic party punch: Cranberry juice, Diet 7-Up, Orange Juice and Pineapple Juice
As well as some Miscato from Fresh & Easy. This is the perfect drink for Holiday parties!
I also made Fresh & Easy’s Stuffed Mushrooms and Cranberry Brie Puffs. Practically made homemade
We all had such a fun time together! Bunco is the best!!!
I am in a bit of a mess right now trying to get the last of the presents wrapped.
I love that it’s raining outside, truly cozy.
