I know, it’s been a while since we had a coffee date. About 5 months toooooo long! Grab a cup of joe or a glass of wine and come sit with me. We have a lot to catch up on.

I keep thinking about wanting to start a new blog. A fun and “hip” mommy blog 🙂 But I am not hip,  I am who I am and I am ok with that. I am fun and messy! I post when I get inspired and not as much as I would like. I still eat healthy and workout regularly, but my life is made up of so much more than that these days. I care more about whole-istic living in ALL the areas, home, family, faith, friendships, and in my marriage. I am wearing a lot less “shoes” these days and my cheeks are a bit chubbier and I am ok with that 🙂

Screen Shot 2018-05-01 at 10.45.24 AM

I do still post a lot on IG, although I am trying to post less (key word is trying). I wish my pictures were more artsy and my walls were a little bit whiter to post those “perfect” IG photos that I try not to envy, but I love the farm house grey and the coziness of a little clutter in OUR home. I  still love all of those cool pics that the hip moms post, they do inspire me!  I want to cheer on the mom’s out there who are hustling to do what they love and also the moms who are striving to be present in their moment. We are all in different seasons, we are all doing the best we can. I post on social media and here on my blog to inspire, I post to let out some inspiration and creativeness. I am trying more than ever to live with intention and to live on purpose and with all the purpose that God has placed in my heart!

The Lord gave me the word CONTENTMENT this year. I am like “God, I thought I was content?,” but now (5 months in to the year) I see where he was getting at.  Have y’all done the enneagram test? If not here is a free one! GO DO IT! It’s truly helped me understand myself and others so much and if you are a growth mindset person like I am, it will get you excited! Ok back to me being a 7, whats’s  a 7? A 7 on the Enneagram test is an ENTHUSIAST!

“Sevens are extroverted, optimistic, versatile, and spontaneous. Playful, high-spirited, and practical, they can also misapply their many talents, becoming over-extended, scattered, and undisciplined. They constantly seek new and exciting experiences, but can become distracted and exhausted by staying on the go. They typically have problems with impatience and impulsiveness. At their Best: they focus their talents on worthwhile goals, becoming appreciative, joyous, and satisfied.”

  • Basic Fear: Of being deprived and in pain
  • Basic Desire: To be satisfied and content—to have their needs fulfilled

Key Motivations: Want to maintain their freedom and happiness, to avoid missing out on worthwhile experiences, to keep themselves excited and occupied, to avoid and discharge pain.

Pretty much me to the T! In that being said I am learning how to grow and be truly content/satisfied in all the things, good or bad. I mean who wants to experience pain? Not ME! But I know I can grow from it. At my best I can live content, God just wants to push me there.

We started fostering this year and it’s been a journey that I never thought we would walk through. Not in a bad way, just truly didn’t think we would ever foster for the sake of reunification. Yes, RJ is a foster child that we adopted, but our goal when we started that process was for the soul purpose to adopt. The two girls that we are fostering now we knew there would be a high chance for unification and we were ok with that. God said YES, so we said YES! Was the yes and easy one? NO! Has there been heartache? YES! Has there been suffering? YES! Oh, but the joy has been grander. I wouldn’t have changed anything, not even the crazy anxiety that it gave my husband when we first got them (but that is HIS story and one day I can’t wait for him to share it). RJ has loved having the girls around and it has been such a good experience for her, she loves being a big sister AKA BOSS!  She needed to learn some selflessness and compassion! Girl has been an only child for four years and she needs to learn the world truly does not evolve around her. If the soul purpose  we are fostering is to help her (which I know it’s way more) than we are blessed!

Hmmmm, what else? We are still loving Arizona and we loved Spring Training this year! I have fallen in love with the school that I work at and have never been more pumped for our children’s education! I also just celebrated a birthday..hello 36! Forty I am COMING FOR YOU! I went to a local Boutique Hotel in Scottsdale called Hotel Adeline with a few girl friends and we had the best time!

Screen Shot 2018-05-01 at 10.37.56 AM

We also took a family SPRING BREAK trip to San Diego and the Great Wolf Lodge a couple weeks ago and it may have been the best family vacation ever! We went when RJ was two and I think we are going to make this a bi-annual tradition. Water parks bring the kid out in US! We need that more in our lives.

We have a big adventure coming soon that I can’t wait to share with y’all, so for now I just ask for some big big prayers for wisdom and timing. Well my cup of coffee is about finished, so until next time!

I do have a question for y’all!

Do you guys still read blogs? Or are you more on IG and Facebook? Just thought I would ask.

Virtual Coffee Date {AZ Living} https://www.bobbimccormick.com/virtual-coffee-date-az-living/ https://www.bobbimccormick.com/virtual-coffee-date-az-living/#comments Thu, 26 Jan 2017 22:58:26 +0000 http://www.bobbimccormick.com/?p=35618 Hi Friends!

I am back and I am so excited to start blogging all things, fitness, faith, food and family! I have all kinds of fun blog posts in store for ya’ll. First, let’s catch up a bit 😉 Grab a cup of coffee and a cozy spot so we can chat.

If we were having coffee right now I would tell you…..We sold our house in CA and bought a house in Arizona. The process of selling our house was a trial for sure. I mean I bet everyone has a little trouble when trying to sell their house in another state, but I am pretty sure ours was the craziest ever (ok maybe not that bad). But the good news is we sold it and we love our new home. Our new house is not like our old, it’s a lot newer and A LOT bigger. Not something we prayed for or ever thought was possible, but it’s exactly what we know God wanted for our family. We have had a few visitors and are really getting settled in.

image1 (6)

If we were having coffee right now I would tell you…..Hubby got a job at Grand Canyon University in their marketing department. So far he is loving it! It’s a lot of fun working at a college and getting to get in the school spirit. It’s a Christian University that is growing super fast! I am excited to see where God uses him at GCU and we are super thrilled that he will be able to get his MBA for FREE! All the praise hands!

image4

If we were having coffee right now I would tell you…..Revelation Wellness has ROCKED my world! Have you all heard about this amazing company? Well if not let me just say it is exactly what God has been pressing on my heart for the past 10 years. Fitness + Faith is exactly where I am at. I mean, hello I lead Fitness and Faith retreats twice a year. Revelation Wellness takes it to another level! Revelation Wellness is a non-profit ministry dedicated to educating and inspiring people to live healthy and whole lives in Christ so we can love others well. They have an instructor program that I will starting in February. I can’t wait to use all that I learn to spread the gospel through fitness. Oh and the company is here in ARIZONA! Crazy right?!

If we were having coffee right now I would tell you…..I hosted a Holiday Holy Yoga class with my beautiful friend Heidi in December. I invited some church friends as well as fitness friends I have made and it was wonderful. It was a great way to stay relaxed and relieve some stress before the Christmas season began. I am going to make this a tradition every year!

image3 (1)

If we were having coffee right now I would tell you…..Our first Arizona Christmas was beautiful. It was such a blessing to have my mom and step dad in for the weekend. We also had my brother Chris and family who live here in Arizona over on Christmas Eve and we had a blast playing games and watching Christmas Vacation. By far this was the quietest Christmas we have ever had, but it was perfect. Three is such a fun age! RJ woke up and was so surprised to see what Santa brought her and so grateful for every present (I am sure that will not be the case every year). I just wanted to stop time for a moment and soak up and savor her little smile!

image2 (3)

If we were having coffee right now I would tell you…..We have big Family Goals for 2017.

  1. Stick to our new budget and leave lots of margin.
  2. Have more friends over for dinner.
  3. Serve at our new Church.
  4. Strive to be more healthy and holistic as a family unit.
  5. Connect to our local community.
  6. More prayer!

0007

If we were having coffee right now I would tell you…..I started a fitness and faith bible study at my house. Nothing big, just a few ladies gathering to read scripture, pray together, and get a little sweat in. I am not teaching any fitness classes right now and so it’s nice to pour the gifts God has given to me out to women, cause it’s my passion and gives me so much JOY!

image5

**So great catching up, God is doing big things here in Arizona and we could not be more thrilled that we listened to God’s call to move. I would love to hear what you would like to see more of on the blog! Leave me some comments, would love your feedback. See you soon!

Virtual Coffee Date [We’re MOVING] https://www.bobbimccormick.com/virtual-coffee-date-were-moving/ https://www.bobbimccormick.com/virtual-coffee-date-were-moving/#comments Mon, 08 Aug 2016 15:30:02 +0000 http://www.bobbimccormick.com/?p=35562 Morning friends!

Oh boy do I have so much to tell you about! I hope you all have had an amazing summer. I can’t believe ours is coming to an end. How about you sit down, grab a cup of iced coffee or tea and let’s chat for a little bit.

If we were having coffee this morning I would tell you… That we took a trip to Yosemite with 7 families and it was the trip of a lifetime! I have been to many beautiful parts of our country, but Yosemite is for sure one of the most breathtaking ones of all. We had such a good time hiking, exploring, playing in the creek, sitting by the campfire and just being still. If you have never been to Yosemite I encourage you to put it on your bucket list, you won’t be disappointed!

If we were having coffee this morning I would tell you…That this is my last week of working up at camp. It has been an incredible nine weeks of fun and I am so glad I said yes. I have gotten to connect with so many of the amazing summer staff,  encouraged by many of the campers, enjoy some fresh air in the mountains, watch RJ learn and sing about Jesus everyday, and work with my hubby again! My favorite part of the week was Monday nights where I got to lead a LET’S GLOW class filled with some Zumba and drumstick action! I love love love teaching Zumba and I hope I can do it again somewhere soon!

Screen Shot 2016-08-08 at 8.18.42 AM

If we were having coffee this morning I would tell you…We put our house up for SALE! This is only the beginning of the big changes that are taking place in our family. We have lived in our house for almost 9 years and we have LOVED it. It has been our cozy cottage that we humbly called home. This summer God has opened our ears and eyes to new adventures he wants to take us on for his glory and we are leaning in and following his lead. At first I cried a lot about leaving our first home. So many amazing memories and this is the first house RJ came home to. I have a lot of peace about it now and I can’t wait to make new memories in our new home. We are praying it sells QUICK!

Screen Shot 2016-08-08 at 8.16.50 AM

If we were having coffee this morning I would tell you… That my hubby is no longer at Forest Home. He loved working at Forest Home for 7+ years, but it was time to say his goodbyes. He has a lot of new doors opening for him and his praying which direction to go. Either way I am excited to see where God puts him and how he gets to use all of his amazing talents.

If we were having coffee this morning I would tell you…That we are MOVING to ARIZONA!! Ok, before you say how hot it is WE KNOW 😉 We actually love the dry heat and we love Arizona. I mean I am a California girl through and through but we are ready for a little slower pace of life and a place to grow our family. We do have family and friends in Arizona which is awesome and I lived their for five years of my childhood and loved it. We will have a pool and a guest room, because we know we will have so many visitors. We love that the cost a living is lower in AZ, it’s a lot cleaner, it still has diversity, love the country and city life, the active lifestyle, the food scene is amazing, and of course we love BASEBALL! Maybe AZ will just be a short season, we don’t know but it is the next big step we will be taking as soon as our house sells.

Screen Shot 2016-08-08 at 8.17.33 AM

If we were having coffee this morning I would tell you…That we will miss our family and friends here in California and that this decision hasn’t been an easy one. I know we will keep in touch and see so many of them still. That’s the great thing about the community we have built, it’s a strong one that supports us no matter where we live. We also know that God will provide a community for us wherever we go and we can’t wait to meet new people. Like I said it hasn’t been an easy decision, many tears have been shed!

13900130_588540109812_7933952533503869941_n

If we were having coffee this morning I would tell you…That we got a mini van! We traded in my Honda CRV (which I loved) and got a Toyota Sienna. The CRV has no airflow in the back seat and RJ was always a sweaty hot mess, even in California. So I can’t imagine when we move to Arizona what she would be like. Also the leather seats would fry our legs! We also want to grow our family and new that a van would be something we would get sooner or later. We are so blessed to have friends that own a car dealership that we love and trust! I am loving the van so far and I am praying for each of these extra seats to be filled 🙂

Screen Shot 2016-08-08 at 8.16.22 AM

If we were having coffee this morning I would tell you…That we are in a season of praying bold prayers and taking bold steps like never before! Not everyone agrees with all of our decisions, but we have to do what’s best for our family and we are the only ones that it all needs to make sense to. We believe our cause is greater than our comfort!  We can’t wait for this next chapter in our story! Prayers are welcomed 🙂

Question: What’s been one of biggest changes you have had to make in your life? Was it a move? Career change?  A lifestyle change?

I know friends it’s been a while since I posted. After a three week trip to Tennessee I needed a bit of time to get back in the groove and to just be. Do you have seasons in your life that are like that?

I love blogging and I love connecting with all of you, so thanks for reading and for inspiring me to keep it up. I actually ran in to a blog reader at an EXPO last week and it reminded me why I love blogging and sharing. She was so sweet and encouraged me to keep blogging even if it only once in a while. So thank you friend!

Well pull up a chair, get in your cozies, grab a hot drink and let’s chat.

If we were having coffee right now I would tell you that we had an incredible time at Refresh Summit South this year in Tennessee. I actually have a blog post that I am working on right now that I can’t to share with you all. This year’s theme was MADE and God spoke volumes to me about what being MADE in his image really looks like. Being in the fitness industry sometimes we get lost in the physical appearances and forget about what beauty truly is. How we are all created in God’s image, completely flawless because of grace. It challenged me to share God’s story so that other’s could find peace and rest in knowing what they were made for.  It also made me step back and trust God with a lot of things I have been wrestling with lately.

12193308_1669970286547844_7849659779109963829_n

If we were having coffee right now I would tell you that our wonderful little sleeper is not sleeping so well these days. All throughout our trip in Tennessee she would wake up in the middle of the night screaming and then she would end up in our bed. I know that travel has something to do with it as well as the time change and growth. I am ok with the lack of sleep and the crazy wake up calls. For I know this is just a season and one day I will miss these days and her sweet voice begging to sleep with us. I just think its’s funny that before we were parents we used to say how we would NEVER let our kids sleep with us and now we are debating on getting a California King bed! Oh silly newbie parents we didn’t know anything

If we were having coffee right now I would tell you I would tell you that we are praying a lot about growing our family. Still in the process of getting all our paperwork for baby #2. I shared a bit on Periscope how I was having some nervousness about growing our family and how I know I just need to soak up every moment in the now and stop thinking about the future, easier said than done right?! Well these past couple weeks have been better and through prayer, scripture, and fellowship my heart has been way more at ease about the whole thing. For I know God’s plan’s are SO MUCH greater than we could ever imagine. Even through the crummy days!

Screen Shot 2015-11-20 at 3.17.49 PM

If we were having coffee right now I would tell you that one of my beautiful best friends mother passed away this week and I had the privilege of attending her funeral. It was like no other funeral I have ever attended. People were laughing, smiling and chatting away. Sharing the good memories of my friend’s sweet mother. They were mourning for sure, but also they have a great hope that I could see in their eyes. The hope that she is in heaven with our heavenly father and is no longer suffering here on earth. It was a true celebration of life, a celebration of a women walking in grace and love all the days of her life. It’s not easy to walk with joy when you are in so much pain and suffering, but she did it well. She is no longer here with us in body, but her legacy lives on.

If we were having coffee right now I would tell you that the Holiday Shred has begun and the group is rocking it! There is nothing better than sweating through the holidays with 100 of my best clients! The workouts are tough, but it is always easier to get them in when you have friends cheering you on. This holiday season my  goals are to move everyday, to eat clean 75% of the time, to do yoga once a week, and to CHOOSE JOY of course:)

If we were having coffee right now I would tell you that REFRESH ATTIRE is open 24/7 now, so get your Christmas shopping on. I am actually really trying to shop local and small business this year, most my black Friday Shopping will be local and online at some of my favorite small shops.

Screen Shot 2015-11-20 at 3.18.51 PM

If we were having coffee right now I would tell you that I am getting so excited about Thanksgiving. This year we are having a little friends giving that my friend Megan is putting on the day before Thanksgiving and then celebrating with my family on Thanksgiving. We are also having our annual Turkey Trot FUN RUN 5k and 10k and a little brunch afterwards. So many reasons to be thankful this year even if life hasn’t been perfect. I am so thankful for the family and friends I get to share this holiday with and I am praying for the one’s that are far away. Oh and I am so looking forward to yummy FOOD!

Question: What are you thankful for this year?

It’s been while I know. As everyone was wrapping up their summer breaks, RJ and I were beginning ours. We have so much to catch up on! Grab a cup of coffee, a cozy chair and maybe a blanket depending on what side of the country you are on.

Screen Shot 2015-09-02 at 7.48.40 AM

If we were having coffee I would tell you that we had a blast up in Lake Arrowhead with our parents and brother. We try and take a summer camping trip with all of my brothers and parents, but now that we are getting older and some of my brothers don’t live as close we started renting cabins and call is “glamping”. It was nice to spend some quality time with everyone and escape to the mountains.

Screen Shot 2015-09-02 at 7.49.48 AM

If we were having coffee I would tell you as soon as we got back from the mountains, RJ and I hopped on a plane and went to Bellingham Washington to visit our friends the Bagley’s. They moved to WA from CA almost two years ago and this was our second time visiting them. I wanted to take RJ one more time before she turns two and then isn’t free to fly anymore! It was an amazing trip filled with beautiful hikes, parks, lakes, yummy food at home and at some great little eateries, and just some nice quality time together at their home. I miss them already!

Screen Shot 2015-09-02 at 7.48.54 AM

If we were having coffee I would tell you that this weekend I am working the Disney Half Marathon Expo with Raw Threads again! I am super excited because a lot of my friends will be working a long side with me and this is one of the busiest and most fun expos! I love seeing all of our customers come by and say hi! I also just love talking to all the runners. I am not gonna lie I need the running encouragement! I haven’t gonna on a real run all summer, I KNOW…CRAZY! I am hoping the cooler weather will get my feet moving!

If we were having coffee I would tell you that Refresh Summit South is almost sold out!! I am getting super excited to see everyone in October. If you have been thinking about signing up and don’t really know what it is about, I can tell you one thing you will leave feeling renewed and rested. It’s truly retreat to come and throw your hair down, sweat with your friends, share life together, eat some yummy healthier food, and just BE! We are going to be reading the book, “Simply Tuesday” together and I can’t wait to dig in. Check out our website for all the information: http://www.refreshsummit.com/.

If we were having coffee I would tell you that next week we begin my first CIZE Challenge!!! If you signed up, it’s going to be so much fun. I have been doing a few of the videos and I have loved all of them. I love to dance and it’s one thing I am excited to add into my workout regimen. I will be also following the 21 Day fix meal plan, mostly to get back on track after two weeks of vacation. Just want to get rid of a little extra fluff on my “meat suit”. I am drinking Shakeology again and that has already helped me to jump back on track and feel good from the inside! I buy it for hubby, but always end up drinking it too! It’s just so yummy.

If we were having coffee I would tell you that we are launching REFRESH ATTIRE on Labor Day! We took a little break over the summer and are excited about a few new products and even a little something that we have never sold before. Make sure to follow us on IG @refreshattire for all the fun updates.

If we were having coffee I would tell you that our little girl is turning two in six days and I am getting a bit emotional about it. I even told hubby the other day that I can see that she’s not a “baby” anymore. Although she will always be my baby! She is becoming such a beautiful independent little girl and watching her learn knew words, explore new things, and love on life is just my favorite thing ever. Even though I am sad to see her get bigger I am also excited to see her grow and learn. Every season seriously gets more FUN!

These days if we were having coffee it would be a sugar free vanilla chia with almond milk and a shot of espresso, aka “dirty chai”. I enjoy one of these treats a week and it is one of my favorite parts of summer!

So much has happened since our last coffee date, it’s time to pull up a chair and connect!!

If were having coffee this morning... I would tell you that the Refresh Summit Virtual is happening this SATURDAY August 1st at 11am CST! You can sign up for it today! It is also FREE and will give you a taste of what the LIVE Refresh Summit’s have to offer. Also we launched our Refresh Summit South and it is quickly filling up. It will be October 30-November 1st!

Screen Shot 2015-07-28 at 1.04.52 PM

If were having coffee this morning...I would tell you that we are heading out this week for a 5 day TENT camping trip to Sequoia National Park in Northern CA. This will be our fifth year going with some of my favorite friends! There will be about 14 children (all under the age of 6), and 15 adults! Prayers welcome 😉 I can’t wait to go with RJ this year! Last year was fun, but RJ wasn’t walking so this year it will be a whole new adventure. It will be so great to truly disconnect!

If were having coffee this morning...I would tell you that I am loving the book Unglued by Lysa Terkerst. Hubby got it for me for our anniversary and I have been trying to read one chapter every night. It’s funny how much I am relating to this book, it almost as though she is in my head and talking directly to me. I have a feeling I am gonna take a lot away!

If were having coffee this morning...I would tell you that this summer has been a lot of fun, but a lot of work. We have been working up at the camp (RJ and I) from 8:30am-12:30am everyday. It’s so great cause RJ get’s to go with me and it for sure has added structure to our days, but I miss going to the YMCA and having a little more flexibility throughout the day. RJ sleeps until 8:15am, so I have to wake her up to get going in the morning and let’s just say that you never want to wake up a toddler or a baby for that matter (I am sure a teenager is the same). But it is fun and I love that we get to see Hubby everyday for lunch as well as his super awesome co-workers! We have two more weeks and then our normal routine resumes. I am excited for the return of our slow mornings.

If were having coffee this morning...I would tell you that I feel like a grandma trying to use Snapchat. Honestly, I am about to delete it. I don’t want to add any more social media platforms to my life and it’s not super user friendly. I just added it, because I thought it would be fun. I don’t even get why people use it…lol…HELP?!

If were having coffee this morning...I would tell you that I LOVE lifting weights! I mean I think I always thought I was a cardio girl (which I still love a good run and bike ride) but I love the feeling after a good strength workout! This week I jumped back into our strength class at the gym and I can tell the TRX has kept me strong. I was able to lift 65-70 pound overhead barbell presses and do three hanging pull-ups! I haven’t lifted any weights (only done TRX) for the past 12 weeks so it felt great lifting again. If you want a fun strength workout, here is a good one: 5 sets of 5 reps// OH Presses, (break for 2 minutes in between) then do this kettle bell complex// 5 double bells swings, 5 double bell cleans, 5 double bell squats, and 5 double bell overhead presses, for a total of 15 minutes. Take breaks between each set. Oh and that is not all! Finish with 10 minutes of 300 KETTLE BELL SWINGS! We did 20 at a time and took breaks until we hit 300! Hello soreness.

If were having coffee this morning...I would tell you that God has been challenging me in so many new ways. I have been reading through the Gospels this summer (currently in Matthew) and it amazes me how much we make the love of Jesus so much more complicated than it needs to be. God continues to show me that I just need to LOVE and SERVE others the way he did and does and stop worrying about “doing doing” all the time. The best thing that I can do for someone is LOVE them. I think too many times we feel like we have to do something or give something that is tangible to show love. Yes, sometimes that is nice but not always necessary. Giving your time and your ear or your shoulder is priceless! The best way to do this, is to leave margin in your day and not jam pack it with “stuff”. It’s a learning process and I am enjoying it.

Questions: What new books, new workouts, new challenges are you up to this summer? Are you ready for Fall?

I am still alive, promise 😉 It’s been such a fun past couple weeks getting some dreams off and running, a sweet and short trip to visit my Dad in Chicago and working up at Forest Home over Memorial Day weekend. I believe we need to sit and savor a beautiful cup of coffee together on this fabulous FRIDAY! Plus, RJ is still sleeping and the weather couldn’t be more perfect for cozy!

If we were having coffee this morning…. I would tell you that our weather is still a bit wacky but it is supposed to get warmer this weekend and this week we had a couple of the most beautiful spring days! RJ and I LIVED outside! It was so nice to paint, play in the grass and just chill. Well let’s face it with a toddler there is no “chill” but it was still fun to see her enjoy the backyard. I am excited because we are getting her a swing set and then we will never have to leave the house again! Ok, on a occasion..maybe 😉

If we were having coffee this morning…. I would tell you that visiting Chicago this past week to hang out with my Dad was a blast! RJ did great on both flights (never flying SPIRIT AGAIN though) and we got to hit up a Cubbies game! I have been to Chicago several times, so it was nice not to have to do the super tourist things and just spend time hanging out together on his porch and just relaxing. We missed the Hubby on this trip, but I am sure we will be back soon.

If we were having coffee this morning…. That the shelf I have been eyeing at Hobby Lobby went on sale for 50% off and my coffee bar is finally complete! I have seen this coffee bar floating around pinterest and it’s always either sold out! I wish I could have you all over for a cup of coffee so you could enjoy it!

If we were having coffee this morning…. I would tell you that I am half way through my 10 week challenge with Propel. I am doing some assessments this weekend to see if my body fat percentage has gone down but overall I feel amazing! I have stuck to my three a day TRX workouts (even in Chicago) and two days of cardio classes or a run. I am drinking my Propel with electrolytes and feeling like a rockstar!  I am not super strict on watching my Macros, but I am counting and trying to be more aware of a balanced plate of  fats, carbs and proteins. It’s amazing how much I am learning about my body and how I feel when one of them is missing! Full update on that to come.

If we were having coffee this morning…. I would tell you that I found these cute print-outs for free on Pinterest! I was getting a little overwhelmed with all that we have going on this summer and needed some big visual calendars to lay everything out. Aren’t they the cutest? I put them in our laundry room, right where we both can see them to remind us of what is going on that week. Normally our weeks are pretty simple and I live day by day, so this summer having to be somewhere daily will be a bit of a challenge, but fun and just a season.

If we were having coffee this morning…. I would tell you that raising a toddler is HARD! Not impossible, but it’s a challenge. We have hit the tantrum stage and the “Mama NO” stage (prayers welcome). Daily I need to walk in grace and have my full armor on before the day begins. I have been waking up extra early to get in some time with Jesus, to learn from his word and to just PRAY! RJ isn’t a strong willed child (yet), but she is testing boundaries and learning all about choices. This season is critical in laying a foundation of right from wrong and that Mama and Papa are in charge. Not a super fun season for sure, but I know that she know’s we love her and want what’s best for her (ok, maybe she doesn’t know that yet, but one day).

If we were having coffee this morning….I would tell you that TODAY is the last day to sign up for my last SUMMER SHRED of the SUMMER! It will start on Monday, so sign up today! It’s going to be a lot of fun and I am excited to see you all work hard and reach your goals and just have a lot of fun!

So friends, what’s new with you?!

It’s that time again, time to sit and get REAL with each other. Alright it’s time to “cozy up” in your comfiest of yoga pants and pour yourself a warm cup of coffee and let’s chat! It’s also raining and perfect her in So CAL, so I may have more than just one cup of coffee today 😉

If we were having coffee this morning I would tell you that my Husband has still been sick 🙁 He did find out it’s a bad sinus and ear infection, but he is still fighting. This is the longest he has ever been sick and it’s starting to wear on me a bit. I want him better so I can kiss him, sleep in the same bed with him (the couch is getting old) and have Daddy back. I could not praise single Mom’s enough, they ROCK! Rylee has been amazing for the most part, but she has her tantrum moments and I am still working on learning the art of being a mother 😉 It is a marathon…so not a sprint! Patience is something I can hold for a long time, but then there is this breaking point and that is what I am working on not getting to!

If we were having coffee this morning  I would tell you that we will be launching our very first VIRTUAL REFRESH SUMMIT very soon!!! I am so excited because it will be open and free for anyone to join! We have some amazing ladies speaking and kicking our butt in workouts. We also have a date for the next live Refresh Summit that will launch soon as well. God is on the move!

If we were having coffee this morning  I would tell you how I can’t wait to get to the beach this summer!!! I used this bag in Hawaii from Fivesse and it was perfect. Love the colors, pockets and how it’s water proof. I AM A BAG GIRL!!! It made me excited to pack it and take it with us very soon to our favorite beaches. The folks at Fivesse were so sweet and are giving my readers a diiscount of 10% by using the code nhershoes. Well you can get any of their super cute bags with that code.

If we were having coffee this morning I would tell you that counting macros is getting easier, but is not my favorite. Remember that ten week challenge that I am taking on to lose body fat %, well part of that is learning what my body thrives on and how it burns fat better. I have been working on getting a balance of 40% fat, 35% protein, and 25% carbs. It is quite the science, but I am getting the hang of it.

If we were having coffee this morning I would tell you that since we got back from HI, it has been non-stop around our house…in a good way! I started the first round of the Summer Shred on Monday and everyone is so great! Encouraging and pushing one another and just being all together inspiring. If you missed your chance to get in, I will be opening up one more month in June so stay tuned for sign ups!

If we were having coffee this morning I would tell you that our weather here in CA is WACK! It is beautiful this week for sure, but my allergies are all over the place and I am so so so sick of not being able to breathe. I am so interested in essential oils and I know they would probably help, just wish they weren’t so expensive and that I would just JUMP in and do it! I have been taking a Claritin and using Flownaze daily and it is helping!

If we were having coffee this morning I would tell you that I love my friends. I mean of course that is why they are my friends right? But I do truly love the community that God has surrounded me with. I feel like no matter what life throws at you, if you have an amazing support group that will love on you and help you walk through yuck sometimes it makes life 100% better!

If we were having coffee this morning I would tell you to pray for my Family. It’s been a rough season as we have had to watch one of our family members walk through some tough things. Somedays I can’t help but just cry, cry because I want to carry all of their mess and be there for them every minute of every day. I know I can’t be and I also know that God is there every minute of everyday. Trusting isn’t always easy, but I am giving it my all!

If we were having coffee this morning I would tell you that I am working a bit up at Forest Home this summer (the camp I used to work at). I will be teaching a family zumba class on Monday nights (crazy right?!) and helping in the toddlers room in the morning with RJ with me. It will be a lot of fun being up there and having lunch with the Hubs everyday. RJ and I are also going to Chicago in two weeks to visit my Dad and then taking a trip to Washington to see my dear friend Ronni! It’s going to be such a fun summer! Oh and I can’t forget about Forest Home Summer Family Camp this year, it will be our 6th summer going and now that RJ is a little bit bigger it’s going to be such a blast!

I am so excited to sit down with all of you sweet friends and chat over a lovely much needed cup of coffee. It’s been a beautiful week, but all kinds of emotions have been thrown in it. This week left me hungry for truth more than ever. Let’s chat….

If we were having coffee this morning, I would tell you that I am beyond thrilled about my latest Shred, the Soul Shred. God put it on my heart a couple years ago to do something like this and I honestly was so nervous. Well here we are about to have our launch party for our first Soul Shred ever! I have shed many tears through this journal. I can’t wait to get started with everyone. It’s going to be an amazing four weeks together as we share our hearts, minds, struggles, and souls with one another.

If we were having coffee this morning, I would tell you that I started Ashley Horner’s Pipehitter again (I did it about 6 months ago) and I am love/hating it! It’s intense, lots of GPP style workouts and you all know how much I like that. I just needed something to challenge me a little bit more and her workouts always do. I always feel a “good” sore everyday! I am not following it exactly, but really working on getting my pull up back as well as working on my strength.

If we were having coffee this morning, I would tell you that I have had some friends go through some really dark stuff these past couple months and it has been so hard to standby and pray. I know God has everything in his hands and he has a plan, but honestly sometimes I just want to know WHY?! Why so much pain, so much hurt, so much loss? I also want to carry some of their grief and pain. But I rest in his truth and thank GOD everyday that this place is not our home. I know he will carry them.

If we were having coffee this morning, I would tell you that I am excited for Spring! Spring mean’s summer is just around the corner and summer means week night bike rides, BASEBALL, grilling out, beach time, and all things HOT (I LOVE SUMMER).

If we were having coffee this morning, I would tell you that we are praying about adopting another baby soon. Exciting right?! We loved our experience with the county and couldn’t be more thrilled to move forward soon with another adoption. Nothing is official, still in the praying stages 🙂

If we were having coffee this morning, I would tell you that I gave up a few things for Lent and I am kinda of sucking at it! But I am thankful for new mercies everyday! I decided to turn off my phone around 8pm every night, no bed time browsing, and being more intensional about getting caught in the social media vortex! Well I have been pretty good about the bed time phone off, but still keep getting sucked in…time to re-group, re-focus and remember why I am trying to disconnect. LENT IS NOT ABOUT ME!

If we were having coffee this morning, I would tell you that we are headed to HAWAII in APRIL!!!! I couldn’t be more thrilled. It’s our spring break trip out to visit some good friends. I am excited because they have an adopted daughter the same age as RJ and it will be such a sweet time playing together. We never thought we would be those parents that would take our 19 month old baby to Hawaii, but here we are booked and ready for a tropical vacation with our little. She is gonna have a blast!

If we were having coffee this morning, I would tell you that Refresh Attire is about to LAUNCH three new designs this Spring!!! Exciting right?! We also have new racerbacks and jackets! Can’t wait to share with you all.

So…how have you all been???!!

It’s been about a month since our last coffee date and a lot has happened. The first being COFFEE is back in my life, so grab a large cup (I have a large on here) and let’s have a coffee date.

If we were having coffee right now…I would tell you how this month is going to be fun month of TRAVELING! I love that I get the opportunity to work with Raw Threads a company that I truly love! They sale some of the cutest and most comfortable Disney running attire out there! Jen and her husband are some of the nicest people I know and I am headed out to Florida to work the Disney Princess Half Marathon Expo and possibly run the race! Fun right?! The Hubby and I are also headed out for a one night stay to Temecula with some of our dearest friends this month and it should be epic.

If we were having coffee right now…I would tell you that we are so close to announcing the next Refresh Summit in Southern California! Seriously God has been orchestrating this space and date so perfectly! We are still working on the details, but promise all details will be out very soon! It’s gonna be another wonderful time of retreating together as fitness women of faith.

If we were having coffee right now…I would tell you that my next Shred is gonna be my bread and butter! It’s my biggest passion and dream coming to LIFE! I can’t wait for you all to sign up, because it is not going to be about just weight loss, but it will be more than ever a program to work on your mind, body and soul.

If we were having coffee right now…I would tell you that I have transitioned from the Crazy Sexy Diet to clean eats just fine. I didn’t go over board, but added some meat in as well as eggs and I am feeling great. Sticking to a clean diet filled with all kinds of healthy foods is where it is at friends!

If we were having coffee right now…I would tell you that I got sick this week, for the first time since being a mother. Let me just tell you it was not easy. I was in denial at first, because I so badly wanted it to pass! But yesterday it got the best of me. I really got myself down, because I felt like I couldn’t be the best Mom for RJ. Well God put me in check that’s for sure and I surrendered it all to him and gave myself GRACE and let her run a muck in the house and watch Disney JR all day. This whole giving myself grace thing is such process.

If we were having coffee right now… I would tell you that Refresh Attire has two new designs coming out this spring that you all are going to love. I love coming up with new designs and statements that are truly refreshing and give off such a positive message. We are in the final stages of perfecting the design! It’s been such a fun year watching Refresh Attire grow and I can’t wait to see where God takes us in 2015!

If we were having coffee right now…Love Grown has come out with a special box of Love O’s just in time for Valentine’s Day.  It is a mix of HEART SHAPED chocolate and strawberry Power O’s.  HOW CUTE IS THAT?! It will only be available for the first few weeks of February in Kroger, King Soopers/ City Market, Dillons, and Fry’s.  Or… you can just enter below for a chance to win a box of your very own!

The giveaway will end SATURDAY FEBRUARY 8TH at midnight.    This is only open to readers in the US (so sorry!).
