I hope ya’ll had a wonderful three day holiday weekend. Since we just got back from California last weekend (more to come on that) we decided to have a little stay-cation and check out some new fun spots here in Phoenix Arizona!

Weekendfun

When we first moved here we would try new restaurants out on a weekly basis (we love food), but we have been spending a lot of our time making our house a home, unpacking and settling in. We actually have loved the slower pace of weekends and the more time at home together. However it was time to GET OUT! It rained all weekend (BOO!) but we still made the most of it.

Friday I had a Lularo Pop Up with a few friends at my house and then the rest of the weekend we ate, played, shopped, swam in our pool (ok just tested it out still too cold) and finally watched the movie TROLLS!!! We all loved it. We actually ended up buying it, cause we knew RJ would want to watch it again. It was one of the best weekends we have had here in AZ in a long time!

Last weekend when we were in California visiting some friends (best weekend ever) I snuck in a 9 mile run with my lovely Cali running buddy Val. It was a beautiful run and I am a little bummed not to have her around for all my long runs. Runs always fly by when you have about 6 months of life to catch up on!

Screen Shot 2017-02-21 at 11.14.12 AM

Well this past Sunday I ran 10 miles alone! It was raining so I started the first 3 miles off on the “dreadmill” at the gym and then when I got the courage I headed out in the rain for the last 7. It was just a light sprinkle at first, but then really started to pick up with a strong wind. I listened to a Revelation Wellness podcast to help push me  along, but before I knew it my phone died at mile 5!!! So now I was running in the rain, by myself, with the wind at my face, and I had no music to motivate me. I am not gonna lie I was a little discouraged for a moment. I turned around at mile 5 and then remembered how I had run an entire marathon with no music and IN THE RAIN! Those two marathons were by far some of the hardest, but I finished. So a measly 5 miles was nothing. I had been praying for some SOLO time with the Lord and I sure did get it. I did a lot of praying and listening for the last 5 miles. My body felt great, but as always my hips got a little tight. I really need to work on getting my foam rolling and stretching in EVERYDAY! Since then I have been using BCAA’S like crazy, doing yoga and rolling.

Along with the crazy running, I am also participating in Paige’s Lean Body Bootcamp for the next 6 weeks. I am so excited I jumped in cause this is just the challenge I need to keep me eating clean through the marathon training as well as keep my muscle! Here is what you get in her program:

Lean Body Boot Camp:
  • Customized macronutrients (or estimating portions,) with adjustments every 2-3 weeks
  • nutrient timing and carbohydrate cycling guidelines and strategies to follow
  • Grocery lists, sample meal plans, my meal prep guide, and my travel guide
  • Access to your own training platform, that’s accessible from your computer and mobile phone, with your workouts, video demos, training plans, macros, progress, and more (I pay a premium for this program, and my clients absolutely LOVE the app)
  • 6 weeks of workouts, with new workouts every week (you will have the choice between the At-Home and In-the-Gym track)
  • Daily accountability check-ins, weekly challenges, and bi-weekly in-depth check-ins
  • My commitment, coaching, and expertise as a trainer and nutrition coach to help you succeed in your goals

I promise to keep you all updated on the program! So far were in week 2 and I am loving it! I can already tell that I am getting way more satisfied with my crazy training hunger and building back my lean muscle. I have been sticking to three days of running, 2 days of HIIT (aka CYCLEBAR) and 3 days of weights.

Screen Shot 2017-02-21 at 10.49.26 AM

I am headed to Florida tomorrow and will be working the Run Disney Princess Half Marathon EXPO with Raw Threads. If you are running come say HI!!! This will be my biggest challenge thus far with sticking to clean eats and getting in my workouts. I am going to give myself major grace and do the best that I can. When I get back, I will CRUSH IT!

2 weeks down 8 more to go!!

Question: What is your biggest challenge while training for an event?

Weekend Wrap-Up https://www.bobbimccormick.com/weekend-wrap-up-6/ Mon, 07 Mar 2016 20:39:41 +0000 http://www.bobbimccormick.com/?p=35373 Hey! Happy Monday, friends! I hope you had a wonderful weekend!

It was quite the EVENTFUL weekend over at the McCormick’s, that a weekend recap just had to be written. Oh and it RAINED all weekend, which is crazy talk for southern California.

On Friday I did the 16.2 workout at the new Crossfit gym I am working at. I innocently signed up for the Crossfit Open, because one of the coaches said even if your not super competitive and just want to do it for fun, sign up. So I thought…why not?! Oh man are these workouts kicking my butt, but in a good way. I only go to Crossfit about twice a week and I am not gonna lie I choose the days where there is mostly HITT workouts and running, not a huge fan of snatches and overhead squats. The 16.2 workout was actually a lot of fun (well fun from a trainer doesn’t mean anything). There was toes to bar, double unders, and squat cleans (I finished with a 95 pound squat clean which is a PR for this girl). I got a whopping 262 reps, which I was proud of but walked away with a gnarly blood blister.

IMG_7325

Friday night I also had a GNO! It had been too long since I had just gone out with the girls. We grabbed taco’s and wine at the local Winery that I am a member of. I know weird combo, but it’s cheap and yummy! We ended up meeting up with my parents and finished the evening with a little karaoke, it was a lot of fun!

IMG_7350

IMG_7357Saturday was DAY ONE of potty training!!!! (see I need the night out before the craziness started). We did the three day method where you don’t leave the house, you don’t use pull-ups and you use the reward system. I am going to do a full post on that soon. The first day RJ had a lot of accidents, but now we are on day three and she’s got it!! We haven’t left the house yet and I am a bit nervous about that.

IMG_7374

Sunday I got to escape from the potty training mahem for a couple hours and did the Run Through Redlands Half Marathon with my beautiful client Lauren. She has been doing my bootcamp for about three months now and we have been running a couple Fridays together. I haven’t run more than 6 miles this past year, but I have been doing SPIN and running for me is more mental than anything so I wanted to pace her and enjoy the run. It rained the WHOLE TIME and was super windy, but we had a great race and the best part was she felt amazing the whole time!!! I can honestly say I am not sore today at all thanks to the Catalyst from Advocare I have been taking!

IMG_7380

After the race I enjoyed my favorite local breakfast, breakfast tacos at Olive Avenue Market.

IMG_7383

The rest of the day was spent potty training and relaxing with the family and there may have been a couple glasses of CHARD enjoyed as well as a cheesy movie or two.

IMG_7388

I am excited for this new week! I have a whole new group of 24 Day Challengers starting for the month of March and they are going to do awesome! I have a full recap of my thoughts on the 24 Day Challenge as well as my results. We got a full new shipment of supplements this weekend and I am not sure who was more excited, me or RJ?!

Question: What was the highlight of your weekend?

Summer FUN List: Beach and Baseball {Family} https://www.bobbimccormick.com/summerfun-list-part-i-beach-and-baseball/ https://www.bobbimccormick.com/summerfun-list-part-i-beach-and-baseball/#comments Tue, 24 Jun 2014 14:59:10 +0000 http://www.bobbimccormick.com/?p=33263 Good morning friends!

This weekend was an absolute blast! The three of us loaded up the car and headed out to San Clemente and San Diego for some sand fun and ball park hotdogs!

20140624-074448-27888294.jpg

I was invited to a summer solstice yoga session on the sand by a yogi friend of mine and I couldn’t think of a more fun way to celebrate the first day of summer! We did 108 sun salutations (crazy right) to celebrate God who has blessed us with the sun!

20140624-074710-28030437.jpg

Our day at the beach with RJ wasn’t long enough! Taking a vacation with a little is a whole lot different from just the two of us. Everything takes about an hour longer and schedules get thrown out the window. She was a trooper though and did so great!

20140624-074859-28139085.jpg

I think more than anything being able to relax together as a family is one of the best parts about getting away, if only for a night. Our evening was pretty chill, as RJ is teething and wasn’t her normal sleep-for-12 hours self. She stayed up with us and we watched UP and enjoyed take out Thai food and some cheap wine (none for RJ of course).

20140624-075131-28291885.jpg

20140624-075132-28292609.jpg

The next morning was nice and slow. It was slow mostly because RJ was up early and mama needed about 4 cups of coffee to get moving!

20140624-075250-28370551.jpg

The hubby surprised us with behind-the-plate seats at Petco Park! He wanted RJ’s first MLB game to be EPIC. (I will tell her when she’s older.) I was excited because it was a Dodgers vs Padres game. Go blue! We cheered, we ate (I enjoyed a brew and a hotdog), we sang, and RJ even napped.

It was such a fun weekend and the perfect way to start out the summer. Hubby and I decided we have to make this a yearly tradition!

Let the Summer FUN begin!

{Weekend Wrap-Up} Summer Bucket List https://www.bobbimccormick.com/weekend-recap-summer-bucket-list/ https://www.bobbimccormick.com/weekend-recap-summer-bucket-list/#comments Mon, 09 Jun 2014 21:51:57 +0000 http://www.bobbimccormick.com/?p=33127 We had one of those weekends that I wish I could have recorded on video so I could watch it over and over again. It was a sweet time together as a family. We simply don’t have enough of these weekends! That is soon to change.

IMG_3460

On Saturday morning we took our time getting ready and loaded up the car with our bikes and a borrowed bike trailer for RJ! We have been meaning to take RJ for a bike ride for a little while now, but we wanted to wait till she was stable enough and could fit into a helmet.

IMG_3569

This girl loved the bike ride! She was all about it. I loved seeing her big smile while we covered the road. We rode around town and then stopped at the Olive Avenue Market for a little brunch. Their brunch is to die for! I enjoyed the breakfast tacos (RJ helped me) and hubby got the biscuits and gravy!

IMG_3456

Can you believe RJ turned 9 months on Saturday?! Crazy right?! She is seriously the biggest JOY in our lives! We just can’t get enough of her sweet smiles.

IMG_3473

We came home, spruced up, kissed baby girl goodbye, and headed out for a fun date night! These nights mean the world to us and we know how blessed we are to have such great friends take care of RJ for us while we spend some quality time together.

IMG_3499

We finally checked out the Salted Pig in Riverside. Now don’t get me wrong, I love salads and clean eats, but be advised that is not what we enjoyed at The Salted Pig! When we first arrived, we took a seat at a bar and enjoyed some drinks and appetizers.

IMG_3502

We decided to order some of the Filthy Fries and a flight of their most popular draft beers. The Filthy Fries were thin and covered in beer cheese, roasted garlic, and some kind of amazing seasoning!

IMG_3503

We were called for our table, but we decided to stay seated at the bar because we liked our bartender and the ambiance was a lot of fun. The fries were pretty filling, so we decided to just split one of their famous M.S.G Burgers,  mushroom, sage, and gouda.

All I have to say is this may be the best burger I have ever ever ever had in my life!

IMG_3507

It was such a great dining experience, we can’t wait to go back. After dinner, we swung by the theater next door to see what was going on. There was a Doors cover band playing so we stuck around and listened to a few songs just for kicks.

IMG_3508

Then we reverted back to our college dating days and headed to a local theme park that has batting cages. I mean don’t all the best date nights end with a little friendly competition?!

IMG_3513

IMG_3516

SO FUN!

The next morning I rose pretty early for an all day TRX Suspension Training. I have been looking forward to this for weeks!

IMG_3524

I have never been to a TRX class, but have always wanted to go. I also have always wanted to learn how to us the TRX trainer so I can use it in my personal training sessions. I loved everything about the course and I really can’t wait to incorporate it into my own training. Say hello to the newest set of TRX trainers!

IMG_3544

Seriously, it was one of the best weekends ever! It gave us a glance of what the summer has in store for us. I am really looking forward to this summer with our little family so much so that I created a summer bucket list!!! I know we may not be able to do everything on the list, but it was fun to create a list of fun things to do over our first summer with RJ!

summerbucketlist

Summer is my favorite season of the year and I know with a blink of an eye it will be Christmas! I am going to savor every memory of our first summer together as the three of us; it’s gonna be epic!

Question: What would be on your summer bucket list?

{Weekend Wrap-Up} Fun in San Diego https://www.bobbimccormick.com/weekend-fun-in-san-diego/ https://www.bobbimccormick.com/weekend-fun-in-san-diego/#comments Tue, 03 Jun 2014 02:56:03 +0000 http://www.bobbimccormick.com/?p=32993 Happy MONDAY!!!

Can you believe that it’s already half way through the year?! Crazy right? Maybe I should look back on my New Year’s Goals and re-evaluate how I am doing. Winking smile How are you doing? June also means summer is just around the corner! Guess I am glad I am SHREDDING it UP with all my June Summer Shredders!

This weekend was kicked off with our #FridayFunDay! I work about 16 hour days all week, between being a Mama, Personal Trainer, Kickboxing Instructor, Blogger,  Retreat Coordinator and Refresh Attire Owner! I love it all so much, but I feel like I just need a day to fully disconnect! So Fridays are our new Sabbath.Smile This Friday we hit up the beach for some fun in the sun. It was amazing!

IMG_2910

This weekend I also had the great pleasure to spectate my first Marathon! I know crazy, right?! My dear friend/running buddy was running her 6th marathon at the Rock and Roll San Diego Marathon. RJ and I tagged along to cheer her on!

IMG_3065

We arrived on Saturday and hit up the EXPO, oh how I love RNR EXPOS! So many fun things to see and taste. There wasn’t too much that I didn’t see at the Boston Marathon Expo, but there were two people that I was thrilled to run into!!! Monica from Run Eat Repeat and Meghann from Meals and Miles! Two of my longest blogger friends who I adore! It was so good to catch up with them and cheer them on in the race as well.

IMG_2969

It was kind of weird going out to dinner with the racers and not trying to “carb load” myself. I did enjoy some pasta because  you have to “when in Little Italy” and some wine. It was kind of nice not worrying about what I was going to eat!

IMG_2985

We hit the hay early and got up even earlier! Thank goodness RJ is an easy baby and an early riser, she was a little champ waking up to say good luck at the start line with Susie.

IMG_3024

The only other time we got a chance to see her was at mile 5. Where we saw Skinny Runner and Monica as well.

IMG_3014

Then we headed to the finish line. I have so much respect for spectators, it’s a crazy hot mess out there! Trying to get to the finish line was crazy! But we made it about .6 of a mile out and I got to cheer Susie on one more time and her daughter even jumped in to finish with her!

IMG_3052

She did amazing! Kinda made me want to do another. OH NO! I got all emotional just watching! Races make me such a sap!

IMG_3059

We celebrated with some wonderful Mexican food and of course a Margarita …I mean I did walk about 6 miles with a baby. That counts for something, right?!

IMG_3066

We hit the road and got home in time for SUNDAY baseball!!!! I still had some work to catch up on, but it wasn’t so bad working outside with this view.

IMG_3078

Such a fun weekend!

Question: Have you ever spectated a race?

{Weekend Wrap-Up} https://www.bobbimccormick.com/weekend-recap-8/ https://www.bobbimccormick.com/weekend-recap-8/#comments Tue, 01 Apr 2014 14:43:05 +0000 http://www.bobbimccormick.com/?p=32657 Sometimes you have one of those weeks where by the Friday you feel empty but then the weekend happens and by Sunday your glass is all filled up! Thank goodness for SPRING SUNSHINE!

Saturday I got in a wonderful 14 mile run (2 more weekends of “long runs” till Boston). My legs are feeling great! I am so glad I bought new Asics before I started training! My heel was starting to bother me, but with the new shoes the pain has already gone away.

IMG_7531

After the run, I finally enjoyed some of the Olive Avenue Market’s breakfast tacos! These were incredible! Homemade tortillas, egg whites, avocados, red onion, jalapeños, and salsa. The corn tortillas made it perfect.

image

Later on Saturday I spent some time with my sweet cousin. We had a full afternoon of shopping, wine tasting, and free ice-cream from A La Minute! A local boutique in town called Nectar celebrated its 5th anniversary by hosting a warehouse sale, with $5, $10, and $15 racks! We scored big time!!!!

IMG_7630

Two maxi dresses, two fancy dresses, shorts, a purse (my favorite) and a simple cardigan! I love shopping local. Smile

IMG_7638

As if the day couldn’t get any better, the hubby and I had a date night/birthday party to attend.

IMG_7640

We enjoyed some Thai food at Mu and I tried my first lemon drop martini!

image

The party was a lot of fun! I love celebrating with friends who are practically family!

image

Sunday morning alarm aka RJ, was up bright and early to help Mama and Daddy get ready for the week. I like to get up extra early on Sundays to prep and pray for the week ahead. This time RJ and Daddy joined me.

IMG_7682

We got our Sunday best on for Church. We started attending a more local church. Now that we have RJ the hour commute that we have been making for the past two years was just getting too hard. We are so blessed that a church in Redlands just open their doors a few weeks ago! It couldn’t be better timing!

IMG_7715

After church we enjoyed the beautiful day outside at Chipotle. Man, this girl just cracks us up!

IMG_7736

Than I was off for a 20 mile bike ride with my girl Susie.

IMG_7753

Our bike rides are the best! We take it nice and easy and enjoy every ounce of the sunshine and view. Oh, did I tell you I am training for a half iron man after Boston?! More on that to come.

IMG_7776

Our Sunday ended with the opening night game of baseball!!! I am pretty sure every Sunday night from here on out will be at the “ball game”. WE LOVE BASEBALL SEASON!

IMG_7758

Such a beautiful and refreshing weekend!

Girls’ Westin “Well-Being” Weekend {Westin} https://www.bobbimccormick.com/girls-westin-well-being-weekend/ https://www.bobbimccormick.com/girls-westin-well-being-weekend/#comments Mon, 24 Mar 2014 18:06:16 +0000 http://www.bobbimccormick.com/?p=32584 This past weekend I had the great pleasure to head back out to the Westin Phoenix Downtown for their Well-Being Event plus a little 48 hour girls weekend. The Well-Being event was a brand-wide event that kicked off on March 20, 2014, in recognition of International Happiness and Well-being Day as well as the Spring Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere. Westin invited me to be their fitness expert for the event by leading a fitness stretch and run. I was thrilled at the opportunity!

Of course I had to bring my ladies with me for support! Megan was so sweet to make us all water cups with our initial on them. Winking smile  Each of these ladies mean the world to me!

IMG_6897

Girls weekend cups for the win ( 99 Cents Store) !

IMG_6905

When we arrived at the Westin Phoenix Downtown, we couldn’t resist enjoying lunch pool side on the roof top. Hello sunny Arizona! I enjoyed the Chipotle Tacos. I loved the aioli sauce. It made the flavors really pop.

IMG_6932

When we walked into our beautiful suite, we were greeted with some fun swag from our Westin friends. Shirts for the event and New Balance shoes from Westin’s shoe lending program as well as a basket of yummy goodies to enjoy during our stay. Westin really knows how to make you feel loved! I was super stoked to stay in one of Westin’s Heavenly Beds again. Did you know they sell these beds?!

IMG_7043

After freshening up, we headed to the event, which was held in the downstairs parking lot. I love that my friends were there to support me. (Little did they know I was going to make them participate in the 5k fun run.)

IMG_6950

The event kicked off with me leading a stretch session before the run.

IMG_6957

IMG_6962

IMG_7005

We did some deep hip openers and leg stretches to get us all warmed up before we took off for the 5k.

IMG_6967

I loved all the staff that participated; they were all so friendly and motivated to get a little sweat on!

IMG_6970

We did lots of good arm stretches to loosen us up.

IMG_6972

Of course we did my all time favorite, the  pigeon pose. Hello hip opener!

IMG_6976

After the stretching was over it was time to hit the pavement for a 3 mile fun run through downtown.

IMG_6979

Everyone kept a nice easy pace. I got to chat and give tips to folks who were looking into running more in the future and possibly even signing up for a half marathon!

IMG_6980

The run was also led by Dave Sobek the Director of Marketing! Go DAVE GO!! He just entered into the New York Marathon lottery and I am rooting for him to get in!

westinrun

I was so proud of my girlfriends for finishing strong! None of them are big runners. They love to workout but running is just not their thing.

IMG_7006

It’s always nice to have an encourager along the course and Westin’s David was so great to be there for them!

IMG_6995

After the run we toasted to HEALTH!

IMG_6996

We also enjoyed a few healthy snacks. Westin was serving up Turkey Burgers and Sweet Potato Fries. The Chef was so kind to share how he cooked their Sweet Potato fries, and I can’t wait to share them with you all!

IMG_6997

IMG_6947

It wouldn’t be a well-being event without a massage! I was so thankful for the amazing massage treatment that made the day complete.

IMG_7004

After we finished the fun event, we headed upstairs and got all dolled up just because!

IMG_7024

It was so fun to do each others hairs, nails, makeup and take pics to make sure it was documented! Even though we are all old ladies and really just stayed at the hotel for dinner and chatted until midnight, it was s great excuse to wear high heels.

IMG_7027

Like I said we ate at the Westin for dinner at the Province Restaurant. They truly had some pretty amazing food. I enjoyed some red wine and a delicious plate of Cast Iron Salmon: scottish salmon and Gnocchi. We also ordered mussels for the first time and I was in LOVE! How have I never had mussels?! I am sure it was the amazing wine sauce that they were cooked in that really made them yummy.

IMG_7032

We also sampled all the yummy desserts, but sadly my camera died so no fun photos!

The next morning we slept in (I was impressed with my internal clock for letting me sleep in) and hit up the GYM!

IMG_7041

Because you know you can’t go on a girls weekend with a personal trainer and not expect to get your butt kicked! We did a really awesome GPP workout called Run the Rack! It worked our entire bodies!

IMG_7050

After, I rewarded them with a fantastic Province Restaurant  BRUNCH on the poolside patio. Winking smile

IMG_7060

We enjoyed one last layout session before we hit the road back to California. Honestly this weekend was exactly what this Mama needed: fitness, food, fun, laughter, and refreshment!

IMG_7062

I honestly can not say thank you enough to the Westin Phoenix Downtown for letting me part of this amazing event! We didn’t leave the hotel once, yet we felt like we had the best girls weekend ever! The hotel really does put health at the top of its priority list. The weekend sure did help me to Eat Well, Sleep Well, Play Well,  Move Well and Work Well! We are already planning our next trip back!

Question: When staying at a hotel what is the most important thing for you?

Expo West + {Weekend Wrap-Up} https://www.bobbimccormick.com/expo-west-weekend-recap/ https://www.bobbimccormick.com/expo-west-weekend-recap/#comments Tue, 11 Mar 2014 04:00:35 +0000 http://www.bobbimccormick.com/?p=32475 I got the chance to visit my first ever Natural Products Expo West (#ExpoWest) this past weekend! Let me be honest I was a bit overwhelmed and ecstatic all at the same time. There were a lot of brands that I was pretty familiar with, but also a lot of new ones that I had never heard of before or that were just launching at the Expo! If you want to read a great post about the things that were trending at the Expo, check out my girl Melissa’s post!

I think the things that I loved most about the Expo was the “newbie” floor. This was the area for folks that were exhibiting for the very first time. There were so many stories to be told and dreams to be shared! I loved how some of them starting baking in their very own kitchens. Then, before they knew it not only family and friends were enjoying their products but neighbors and friends of friends! They never dreamed that they would see their products on a shelf of  Whole Foods. One of the things that I love best about being a blogger is networking with so many different brands and connecting with some pretty talented people. I could list them all of for ya, but honestly I am pretty sure that it would take up several pages!!!

Not only did I walk about 5 miles all over the Expo, I did my first 18 mile run for my Boston Marathon training Saturday morning! It actually was my best long run in a long time! I think starting at 5am and the weather being absolutely perfect really helped. I had two Gu’s one at mile 8 and another at mile 12. I really enjoyed every minute of the run. (That has not happened in a while.)

IMG_5909

Oh and guess who turned 6 months this weekend? CRAZY right?!

IMG_5882

I also decided to do 40 days of yoga for Lent this year. Instead of giving something up, I decided to add something. I decided to use this time of Lent as refreshment for my soul. Speaking of Refreshment, you still have time to sign up for the Refresh Summit!

I managed to get dressed this weekend Winking smile

IMG_6001

I had to wear my polka dots so I could match this cutie pie. She pulls them off a lot better than I do!

IMG_6004

We tried the Flame Broiler for the first time this weekend, it was a lot like Waba Grill. I liked that the meat tasted fresh and that you could order extra veggies or BROWN rice!

IMG_6005

To celebrate the warm weekend we drove out to Pinkberry! Seriously, it’s my all time favorite treat. I know not everyone is a fan, but for some reason when I crave something sweet Pinkberry always hits the spot!

IMG_6017

For Hubby, a Reese’s the size of RJ hits his sweet tooth.

IMG_6012

So I said what the heck it’s your birthday month, go for it!

IMG_6010

We walked around the mall a bit and then headed to the park!

IMG_6023

We took our shoes off, soaked up the sun and had some appetizers.

IMG_6030

Then, we captured some pretty sweet moments of this beauty.

IMG_6055

IMG_6062

I mean really, could this little girl be any cuter?! I think not!

IMG_6052

We were pleasantly surprised to get a spontaneous date night! Once a week and going strong.

IMG_6059

So we capped off the weekend with some of Darby’s beef sliders and a glass of wine!

IMG_6060

Such a fun and beautiful weekend! So thankful for the perfect weather and some memories made while soaking up my favorites.

Question: Did this post make you hungry or what?!

Refresh Attire OPEN + Weekend Wrap-Up https://www.bobbimccormick.com/refresh-attire-open-weekend-recap/ https://www.bobbimccormick.com/refresh-attire-open-weekend-recap/#comments Mon, 21 Oct 2013 21:25:45 +0000 http://www.bobbimccormick.com/?p=31524 HAPPY Monday friends!

Oh how I have missed you. It was quite the amazing weekend and I’m kind of feeling like everything is happening so fast. The holidays are around the corner. RJ is already 6 weeks (crazy, right?!) The Vegas Iron Girl is this weekend. Hubby has gone back to work and two of my biggest dreams are launching this month!!!

REFRESH ATTIRE IS OPEN FOR BUSINESS!!!! Check it out today: www.refreshattire.com

I know I have kind of alluded to starting a Fitness + Faith line of clothing. Well, it is finally happening. How did this all come about? I had an idea to create tanks and tops that shared faith and fitness. My beautiful friend Megan has a small-scale shirt printing business and jumped at the opportunity to partner in this fun venture. I wanted these shirts to be more refreshing to see than normal fitness apparel, hence how we got the name.  All of our designs have been influenced by my life mantras, “Eat Clean. Sweat Often. Choose Joy” and “Fit So I Can Be Me/Mom.” More designs will be added each quarter.

I know there are other awesome fitness and faith lines out there and I am just excited to get the chance to give everyone ever more choices!

As you can see I also got a new NHERSHOES FITNESS WEBSITE!!! It’s been something that the Hubby and I have been working on Winking smile Don’t you love it? Both the Blog and NHS Fitness website will be getting more updates very soon!

Is she not the cutest? I am actually very proud of our little family. So far this fall we have hit up the apple farm, pumpkin patch and we even made a homemade apple pie!! I think the fall is always going to be my favorite time of the year.

Friday night I checked out a new Wine and Tapas Bar called Lounge 22 in Redlands with some bloggers/friends! We met during Happy Hour 5-7pm, so we got several different small plates to share for half off and wine for $4. I loved the Goat Cheese Brussels Sprouts and Lavender Bread and Butter!

IMG_4889

It was so fun getting to meeting Hannah from Heidi from Heidisheart.com! We were supposed to meet at the Influencers Conference, but didn’t get a chance to. I can’t wait to hang out with Heidi  more and of course get more time with my beautiful friend Megan!

RJ and I also got dressed up and went to my Mom’s for a Halloween party. We went with the Greek theme. I was Athena and RJ was the cutest mermaid ever!

As if the weekend wasn’t fun enough some how I got in my last BRICK workout before my TRI next weekend on Saturday morning. An 1 mile swim in the lake and then a 20 mile bike ride! Swimming while watching the sunrise was priceless!

And, to finish the weekend I ran the Temecula Half Marathon! But I will be doing a full recap of that very soon!!

Weekend Wrap-Up https://www.bobbimccormick.com/weekend-recap-7/ https://www.bobbimccormick.com/weekend-recap-7/#comments Tue, 10 Sep 2013 15:52:21 +0000 http://www.bobbimccormick.com/?p=30099 HAPPY TUESDAY!!!

First off, I want to thank you all for your kind and caring words from my last {Virtual} Coffee Date post. I wish I could have coffee with all of you individually so we can share what each of us is going through. I am so blessed by each and everyone of you and I only hope that opening up my heart to you all will only help someone who may be going through the same thing.

This weekend was truly the best medicine to refresh my soul.

Friday, we hung out with our favorite bunch, the Bagley’s, for Daniel’s birthday dinner at the Sizzler (I know… party animals!). This particular Sizzler was actually my first place of employment so it brought back all kinds of memories!

IMG_0886

After dinner, we went to the new Yogutland in town and I enjoyed a little of the coconut yogurt… yummy!

IMG_0891

Saturday, the Hub’s and I were out ALL DAY for ALL KINDS of fun adventures. We had a three hour church meeting in the morning and then had lunch at Mi Place in Pasadena where I enjoyed a little sangria and the best Kale Salad!

IMG_0915

(…filled with fresh fruit, mushrooms and goat cheese…)

IMG_0921

Then we were off to Ikea and a birthday dinner for my Kickboxing Boss, Moe!

The cake pops were the cutest things ever… little kettlebells!

weekend

Sunday morning, the Hub’s and I were up bright and early for a 30 mile bike ride, but we had to cut it short due to two flat tires. However, 20 miles is better than nothing plus the weather was amazing!

IMG_0955

The rest of our Sunday was spent at a family BBQ! Yummy food, swimming, chatting, football and just pure relaxation with the people we love.

sundayfun

Our weekend was extended because this week is our FAMILY VACATION WEEK!!!

Yesterday we kicked it off with my two favorite D’s… Disneyland and Dodgers, but first I got in an awesome GPP workout with Val and 5.5 miles of running.

IMG_1008

Hubs and I loaded up the car and headed to Disneyland as soon as I got back! Disneyland was EMPTY!!! Before we even had lunch we hit up three rides in less than an hour… that huge friends!

For lunch we ate at DCA’s Garden Grill. They have the best veggie kabobs around. I love that it is all fresh and tastes amazing. See friends, you can eat healthier at (some) amusement parks.

IMG_1057

Hubs and I shared our very first Soft-Served Dole Whipped Yogurt! So yummy, light and refreshing. I couldn’t believe it was Vegan and 100% pineapple goodness! I am not sure why we have waited so long.

IMG_1049

Lots of kisses were stolen… love my gingerbearded man!

IMG_1068

The fun didn’t stop there. At 5pm, we were off to see the Dodgers play the Diamondbacks! I enjoyed a Super Dodger Dog and Blue Moon. The game was AMAZING! The Dodgers won 8-1 and hit six home runs! I have never seen that many home runs hit at a single game in my life!!!

IMG_1090

IMG_1080

We even got a little take home souvenir… a Hello Kitty Bobble-head. I think that is why the game was so PACKED!

IMG_1097

On the way home, I checked in on my Fantasy Football Team and BOOM! I took this week!

IMG_1100

The fun has just begun. Today is all about packing, prepping and getting all my work done for tomorrow as we leave for Bishop, CA for a 5-day camping trip!!!
