Ok friends it’s time to talk straight. So as most of you know (not everyone, welcome new readers 😉 ) I have had stomach issues for years. I have done so many different tests with doctors and have even tried some other things myself. Well sadly nothing has seemed to kick it. The DOC says I am fine, but he’s not the one curled up in a ball most nights of the week because of contraction like pains. Something is wrong!!

After talking with Amber this past weekend after this conference who is Raw Vegan, she told me about this book called Crazy Sexy Diet by Kris Carr.

Friends this book has made me think about the way my body responds to food. Yes, I know I am a pretty healthy eater and I do practice what I preach, but there is stuff in this book that reminded me of why I love eating healthy and staying fit. It’s not about what you look like, it’s about how you feel and this book reminded me of that.I love Kris’s approach to food and healthy eating. Her love for life truly shines through!!

THE CRAZY SEXY DIET

In her book she give a 21-Day Cleanse that gives you the action plan and kick-in-the-butt to take control of your body and health. It’s filled with checklists, affirmations, tips and recipes to keep you on track. I love it because it’s something I mostly already do, minus the , NO COFFEE, NO GLUTEN, NO MEAT, NO DAIRY, and NO unnatural sugars. Ok, not at all what I am doing right now 😉

Am I going to become Vegitarian? Will I become a Vegan? Who’s know’s, but I will tell you one thing it is all about balance and figuring out what’s best for YOU! I want to have more energy, I want to have less bloating, I want to feel rested, I want to have soft and firmer skin!

I plan to post daily on this challenge if not on the blog out on Instagram as I will need the accountability. I think her awesome recipes will be fun to share as well as a lot of her juices. I will still drink my Shakeology as it follows 100% of the guidelines in the cleanse (they just came out with a Chocolate Vegan Shakeology).

BREAKING MY ADDICTIONS!

I am addicted to COFFEE and I don’t want to be. I love that she says that it’s not ALL or NOTHING! It’s 80/20. I want to kick some of the bad habits that have cheeped in and see how I feel after 21 days of eating super clean and getting some of the crap out of my body. I have had too many sweets, more alcohol than normal, and just plain extra CRAP that I am not proud of.

There are so many amazing recipes I can’t wait to try in her book and I love that she makes it a journal for your body, mind and soul. I will treat the prayer and meditation as my time with the LORD and that is something I can never get enough of.

DESIRED OUTCOMES

After my study “Soul Detox” last month with #SheReadsTruth, I realized I do need a cleanse from the inside out. I have wasted too much time lately being on the GO GO GO and need to stop and get back to time in the word and being still.

  • Follow her 21 day plan as best as possible, it’s not the end of the world if I screw up.
  • Break free from my coffee addiction, so that I can enjoy it once a month instead of everyday.
  • Try new recipes!
  • Juice once a day.
  • See how my body digests without, dairy, gluten, and meat.
