Palm Springs Vacation 2013

What an amazing anniversary trip we had earlier this week in Palm Springs! We love going to Palm Springs because it is such a short drive to a place of pure relaxation. We always look out for a great deal in a four-star hotel on Groupon or Living Social the months before.

This year we found a great deal on Living Social for the Colony Palms Hotel. We had stayed here a couple years ago so we knew we would love it. This year we upgrade to a private casita with a private patio for lounging and an outdoor tub… so romantic! We stayed from Sunday-Tuesday which is when it is a lot less crowded and a lot more quiet by the pools!

We love the restaurant selection in Palm Springs so much!

This year we enjoyedLas Casuelas Terraza (our favorite Mexican restaurant), Pinocchio’s (unlimited champagne for $3.95), Kalura Trattoria (we brought our own bottle of wine for a romantic dinner) and the Purple Palm at the Colony Palms Hotel for breakfast and snacks.

We love finding new places to dine when we travel because to us that’s one of the best things about vacation!

Monday night we checked out the Palm Springs Spa Resort Casino, but our luck ran out and didn’t win a dime (hence one reason I hate casinos), but still had FUN!

The best part about Palm Springs are the POOLS!

Being that it is always 100 degree’s rain or shine, sitting in and by the pool is a must! With a sangria in hand, it was quite lovely! We did do a little shopping while we were there as well, we checked out the Westfield Palm Desert Mall and enjoyed helping each other pick out some new threads! I love shopping with Hubby. He really is a lot of fun… I know I am blessed!

I also got in three workouts over our vacation! We started off on Sunday with an amazing 40-mile bike ride together and the rest of the vacation was spent in the hotel gym doing some GPP! I just love that I can do these workouts from anywhere! Oh, and I did find me some coffee at Koffi which has the best Almond Misto in town!

Such an amazing time together! This is our six year anniversary and nearly every year we go back to Palm Springs, even if just for one night.

Questions:
Have you ever been to Palm Springs?
What’s your favorite restaurant out there?
