Tuesday night we finished off our vacation (more of that to come tomorrow) with a little dinner date to Red Lobster I know not the typical place I would choose to dine, but when I was offered to review their“Endless Shrimp†promotion…how could I say no???
Red Lobster has been doing this promotion for the past 12 years and is one of the restaurant’s most popular, highly anticipated one! The menu offers Endless Shrimp for $15.99 per person and offers the following entrée options:
- New! Spicy Soy-Wasabi Grilled Shrimp
- Hand-Breaded Shrimp
- Garlic Shrimp Scampi
- Shrimp Linguini Alfredo
When we ordered, our waiter let us know that we could also order coconut bites and popcorn shrimp in addition to the options listed on the menu. Well wasn’t that nice
I of course tried them all, but the health conscious person inside of me came out and I just had a couple of bites of the non-grilled ones they were amazing! I think my overall favorite was for sure the SHRIMP SCAMPI, It was a close tie with the coconut shrimp!
I loved that all the calories were listed on the menu, I think that’s great for those who would like to know (like me). Even the red wine was listed and it was only 100 calories!
Oh and these cheese biscuits, SO YUM! I need to recreate these and make them for the Hub’s sometime, he was in biscuit heaven.
The meal also came with a side salad, grilled veggies and rice pilaf. I liked that it was actually grilled fresh veggies and not just a bag of steamed veggies from the store.
Overall we had a wonderful experience and I was actually pretty impressed, considering we don’t visit chain restaurants.
Have you ever eaten at Red Lobster?
What shrimp would you have liked?
