Virtual Coffee Date {AZ Living}

Hi Friends!

I am back and I am so excited to start blogging all things, fitness, faith, food and family! I have all kinds of fun blog posts in store for ya’ll. First, let’s catch up a bit 😉 Grab a cup of coffee and a cozy spot so we can chat.

If we were having coffee right now I would tell you…..We sold our house in CA and bought a house in Arizona. The process of selling our house was a trial for sure. I mean I bet everyone has a little trouble when trying to sell their house in another state, but I am pretty sure ours was the craziest ever (ok maybe not that bad). But the good news is we sold it and we love our new home. Our new house is not like our old, it’s a lot newer and A LOT bigger. Not something we prayed for or ever thought was possible, but it’s exactly what we know God wanted for our family. We have had a few visitors and are really getting settled in.

If we were having coffee right now I would tell you…..Hubby got a job at Grand Canyon University in their marketing department. So far he is loving it! It’s a lot of fun working at a college and getting to get in the school spirit. It’s a Christian University that is growing super fast! I am excited to see where God uses him at GCU and we are super thrilled that he will be able to get his MBA for FREE! All the praise hands!

If we were having coffee right now I would tell you…..Revelation Wellness has ROCKED my world! Have you all heard about this amazing company? Well if not let me just say it is exactly what God has been pressing on my heart for the past 10 years. Fitness + Faith is exactly where I am at. I mean, hello I lead Fitness and Faith retreats twice a year. Revelation Wellness takes it to another level! Revelation Wellness is a non-profit ministry dedicated to educating and inspiring people to live healthy and whole lives in Christ so we can love others well. They have an instructor program that I will starting in February. I can’t wait to use all that I learn to spread the gospel through fitness. Oh and the company is here in ARIZONA! Crazy right?!

If we were having coffee right now I would tell you…..I hosted a Holiday Holy Yoga class with my beautiful friend Heidi in December. I invited some church friends as well as fitness friends I have made and it was wonderful. It was a great way to stay relaxed and relieve some stress before the Christmas season began. I am going to make this a tradition every year!

If we were having coffee right now I would tell you…..Our first Arizona Christmas was beautiful. It was such a blessing to have my mom and step dad in for the weekend. We also had my brother Chris and family who live here in Arizona over on Christmas Eve and we had a blast playing games and watching Christmas Vacation. By far this was the quietest Christmas we have ever had, but it was perfect. Three is such a fun age! RJ woke up and was so surprised to see what Santa brought her and so grateful for every present (I am sure that will not be the case every year). I just wanted to stop time for a moment and soak up and savor her little smile!

If we were having coffee right now I would tell you…..We have big Family Goals for 2017.

  1. Stick to our new budget and leave lots of margin.
  2. Have more friends over for dinner.
  3. Serve at our new Church.
  4. Strive to be more healthy and holistic as a family unit.
  5. Connect to our local community.
  6. More prayer!

If we were having coffee right now I would tell you…..I started a fitness and faith bible study at my house. Nothing big, just a few ladies gathering to read scripture, pray together, and get a little sweat in. I am not teaching any fitness classes right now and so it’s nice to pour the gifts God has given to me out to women, cause it’s my passion and gives me so much JOY!

**So great catching up, God is doing big things here in Arizona and we could not be more thrilled that we listened to God’s call to move. I would love to hear what you would like to see more of on the blog! Leave me some comments, would love your feedback. See you soon!

    I think you were the first person I ever followed on Instagram when I made it in 2013. I was looking for inspiration to work out hard and study God’s word. About that time I found your Insta name and Shereadstruth. My two favorites still! I have loved your story and followed your adoption and it is so exciting to see what God has done! I LOVE your JOY! Jesus just shines through you, even in pictures. Your blog today on 2/6/17 ” A day in the life” reminded me so much of me and my girls. They are now 17 and 20. We had lots of play days with tea parties and dress up, picnics and walks outside and always have eaten family dinners at the table. SO IMPORTANT! Even now when my oldest comes home from college we all sit around the table for 2 hours eating, sharing, talking and laughing. RJ will really appreciate that when she is older. Thank you for your encouragement on living the Christian life joyfully and healthy! I decided when I was 39, I wanted to be the healthiest 40 year old that could still play and do fun things with my family. I am 44 now and doing a little crossfit, riding my bike and going to the gym. I try and eat healthy most of the time. One day I am going to make it to your retreat in Tennessee( I’m in Mississippi). So excited to keep following and seeing God work through yall in Arizona!
