Hello Beautiful Friends!
I know, it’s been a while since we had a coffee date. About 5 months toooooo long! Grab a cup of joe or a glass of wine and come sit with me. We have a lot to catch up on.
I keep thinking about wanting to start a new blog. A fun and “hip” mommy blog 🙂 But I am not hip,  I am who I am and I am ok with that. I am fun and messy! I post when I get inspired and not as much as I would like. I still eat healthy and workout regularly, but my life is made up of so much more than that these days. I care more about whole-istic living in ALL the areas, home, family, faith, friendships, and in my marriage. I am wearing a lot less “shoes” these days and my cheeks are a bit chubbier and I am ok with that 🙂
I do still post a lot on IG, although I am trying to post less (key word is trying). I wish my pictures were more artsy and my walls were a little bit whiter to post those “perfect” IG photos that I try not to envy, but I love the farm house grey and the coziness of a little clutter in OUR home. I Â still love all of those cool pics that the hip moms post, they do inspire me! Â I want to cheer on the mom’s out there who are hustling to do what they love and also the moms who are striving to be present in their moment. We are all in different seasons, we are all doing the best we can. I post on social media and here on my blog to inspire, I post to let out some inspiration and creativeness. I am trying more than ever to live with intention and to live on purpose and with all the purpose that God has placed in my heart!
The Lord gave me the word CONTENTMENT this year. I am like “God, I thought I was content?,” but now (5 months in to the year) I see where he was getting at.  Have y’all done the enneagram test? If not here is a free one! GO DO IT! It’s truly helped me understand myself and others so much and if you are a growth mindset person like I am, it will get you excited! Ok back to me being a 7, whats’s  a 7? A 7 on the Enneagram test is an ENTHUSIAST!Â
“Sevens are extroverted, optimistic, versatile, and spontaneous. Playful, high-spirited, and practical, they can also misapply their many talents, becoming over-extended, scattered, and undisciplined. They constantly seek new and exciting experiences, but can become distracted and exhausted by staying on the go. They typically have problems with impatience and impulsiveness. At their Best: they focus their talents on worthwhile goals, becoming appreciative, joyous, and satisfied.”
- Basic Fear:Â Of being deprived and in pain
- Basic Desire: To be satisfied and content—to have their needs fulfilled
Key Motivations:Â Want to maintain their freedom and happiness, to avoid missing out on worthwhile experiences, to keep themselves excited and occupied, to avoid and discharge pain.
Pretty much me to the T! In that being said I am learning how to grow and be truly content/satisfied in all the things, good or bad. I mean who wants to experience pain? Not ME! But I know I can grow from it. At my best I can live content, God just wants to push me there.
We started fostering this year and it’s been a journey that I never thought we would walk through. Not in a bad way, just truly didn’t think we would ever foster for the sake of reunification. Yes, RJ is a foster child that we adopted, but our goal when we started that process was for the soul purpose to adopt. The two girls that we are fostering now we knew there would be a high chance for unification and we were ok with that. God said YES, so we said YES! Was the yes and easy one? NO! Has there been heartache? YES! Has there been suffering? YES! Oh, but the joy has been grander. I wouldn’t have changed anything, not even the crazy anxiety that it gave my husband when we first got them (but that is HIS story and one day I can’t wait for him to share it). RJ has loved having the girls around and it has been such a good experience for her, she loves being a big sister AKA BOSS!  She needed to learn some selflessness and compassion! Girl has been an only child for four years and she needs to learn the world truly does not evolve around her. If the soul purpose  we are fostering is to help her (which I know it’s way more) than we are blessed!
Hmmmm, what else? We are still loving Arizona and we loved Spring Training this year! I have fallen in love with the school that I work at and have never been more pumped for our children’s education! I also just celebrated a birthday..hello 36! Forty I am COMING FOR YOU! I went to a local Boutique Hotel in Scottsdale called Hotel Adeline with a few girl friends and we had the best time!
We also took a family SPRING BREAK trip to San Diego and the Great Wolf Lodge a couple weeks ago and it may have been the best family vacation ever! We went when RJ was two and I think we are going to make this a bi-annual tradition. Water parks bring the kid out in US! We need that more in our lives.
We have a big adventure coming soon that I can’t wait to share with y’all, so for now I just ask for some big big prayers for wisdom and timing. Well my cup of coffee is about finished, so until next time!
I do have a question for y’all!
Do you guys still read blogs? Or are you more on IG and Facebook? Just thought I would ask.

Thanks girl!
I still read blogs and love reading yours!!! xoxo
I still read blogs! 🙂
I love to read blogs but I usually end up reading them in the evenings or weekends. It is hard to do it during the day (when working).
I still love reading blogs!
I read blogs every morning with my breakfast, it’s part of my morning routine! 🙂
I just did the quiz and it was the most accurate description of me EVER! I’m a 6, 1, and 9. Like scary accurate! How fun to have a house full of girls! I am 1 of 4 girls so there is a special place in my heart for all girl families.
I’m a blog reader. I’m on Facebook, too, but I like that I can go to blogs when I want to. Social media moves too fast to keep up with everything on my own time.
TRUTH! I to still read a few 🙂
I’m a dinosaur…I still read blogs.
hahahah love it!
