Fitbloggin’ 2013 {Highlights}

WOW!! Fitbloggin’ was just what I needed to start of this crazy new adventure as a full time business owner. This conference, truly could not have come at a better time. The conference was full of fitness enthusiast and bloggers who are ready to take it to the next level! Of course lots of sweating took place, but there was also a lot of eating and PLAYING! If you follow me on IG, you know there was a lot of fun!

The SWAG was nice! Reebok hooked us up with some of their CrossFit Nano 2.0s!

Portland is so much fun! It’s not a huge city, but there is a ton of fun places to eat (lots of veggie and vegan options), breweries, donut shops and of course my favorite was all of the COFFEE SHOPS!

Fitblogginfood

I visited  Case Study Coffee, Spella Café (best Afogado in the world), the Luc Lac Kambucha, Kure (juice), Noble Rot, Merewether’s and I am sure I am missing somewhere!

My favorite café was Stumptown Coffee Roasters! Their Hairbender is so delish! I wish I would have brought more home!

All through out the conference I visited lots of different booths that came for the expo, Laughing Cow Cheese, Soy Joy, Reebok, Blue Diamond and more! Love meeting companies that care!

One of the evening we were there, we had cocktails at the Noble Rot where we met the lovely ladies of Porter Novelli, a PR agency who manages The Laughing Cow, SOYJOY, and Nature Made accounts. I loved chatting with all the lovely bloggers and meeting so many new blends!

We also did a bit of shoppingWinking smile and then killed a 6am BOOTCAMP class in the main square!

The session was hosted by a trainer named Erin who is actually pregnant – and she still kicked our booties! She was great – really high energy and fun.

as if an hour boot camp class wasn’t enough I headed over to the hotel to do some Cardio Dance and an hour of Zumba!

fitbloggincardiodance

The Cardio Dance class, hosted by Reebok and led by a woman named Patricia Moreno, she was really inspiring! She had us speak the mantras below as we sweated our tushys off!

“You are powerful beyond measure. You are stronger than you seem. You are braver than you think. You are blessed with all you need. You are enough. You have enough. You are programmed for victory. Your persistence pays off. All negative thoughts stop right now. I am done complaining. I am now celebrating. I am inspired to be the best that I can be. And I now believe that I will succeed.”

I also got to meet one of my favorite fitness BLOGGERS EVER!!!! MIZFIT! She is so beautiful and it was such a JOY to finally get to meet her.

3. Optimizing Your Post-Game Nutrition with Wendy Bazilian, DrPH, MA, RD

4. How to Create a Media Kit that Showcases Your Brand and Gets Companies Knocking on Your Door run by Erica House, Shannyn Allan, and Annabel Adams

So much to learn! All of the sessions got me pumped about blogging more frequently and really expanding my personal training business! We finished the amazing weekend with a farewell 10k, where I preceded to trip and leave with a fun new scar Winking smile It was so great running with Jill, so excited to connect with other passionate fitness professionals!
