Lunch with the BFF Danielle was so fun!
She was finally able to give me my birthday present 🙂 Isn’t she such a great present wrapper??
This present couldn’t have come at a more perfect time, I just finished my book and have been looking for another to read.
Have any of you read it before?
After opening my present I browsed the menu, I knew anything I chose would be wonderful. I decided to go with the, “Big Fat Greek†sandwich. Eggplant, Zucchini, Chicken Breast, Sundried Tomato Spread, Roasted Peppers, Sautéed Red Onion, and Feta Cheese on a grilled Fococia bread.
It came with the best sweet potato fries in town!! I wish mine tasted this good. I plan on recreating this sandwich soon.
Look at all those wonderful layers…I ended up only eating half and eating the rest later in the afternoon.
We sat and talked for hours and then headed out to shop at Target for some wedding presents and for D’s Haitian little girl (an orphan she has been donating money to for a couple of years now) that she will get to see in a couple days 🙂 I am so excited for Danielle, she is headed out to Haiti on Tuesday to go help out with an orphanage for 10 days. Like kids we played in the toy section for a while, loved it.
When I got home, Hubby had cleaned the HOUSE!! He mopped, swept, did dishes and even scrubbed the countertops. He is AMAZING, best part is he said he did it to “bless meâ€, man he is God’s gift to me.
I am currently sipping on some Riesling and about to fire up the grill. Hubby and I are staying in tonight, I have some work to do for the Wild West Relay and also need to clean off my computer I have like a billion pictures to organize!!! I am also hoping to start my new book 🙂
Have a safe and fun Saturday night!!
P.S. I have been tracking Jen and Kath as they are in Blogher ‘09, so living vicariously through them. Is anyone going to Blogher Food ‘09?! I wanted to go but it was all sold out, I am on the waiting list and crossing my fingers!!!
