While at camp we got to partake in so many wonderful activities! The first thing I got to do was a cooking class hosted by our Chef at camp. Chef D’Arcy hosted a cooking class about how a family can cook three healthy meals in under 15 minutes!
I made sure to take notes! I even learned how to hold a knife properly 🙂
Both of these ladies are the wives of my Hubby’s co-workers, we spent the whole week together 🙂 We have decided Family Camp has to be a tradition!
On Wednesday we spent the day at the Lake! Our camp has a huge lake on site where they set up relays for our families to participate in. All of us “staffers†signed up to be on the same team, our team name was the FoHero’s!
The relay challenges were hilarious! Balancing eggs on a spoon, putting shapes in a box, sand skiing…
We ROCKED it!!!
I also got to go horseback riding for the first time!! I loved it! It was a pretty long ride and trotting was my favorite!
I was so thirsty after the ride, I caved in and got a Watermelon Icee!!
Next, Hubby and I took on the climbing wall. I love climbing. It is one of the most challenging things for me to do physically and mentally!!!!
Hubby is so HOT in his harness 😉
Climbing takes a whole lot of trust and strength.
It was hard for me to trust the ropes, but once I did it was soooo fun!
We are now climbers 🙂
A lot of the days we played in the creek, Hubby even got all the way in the freezing water!!!!
We also have miniature golf (aka putt-putt) at camp. Hubby is a pro, but Addison is the best 🙂 Isn’t she a doll?!!!
Three of five days that we were at camp I did my Jillian’s, “Making the Cut†circuit training workout!!! All I needed was my weights, strength band, and Jillian’s book. I haven’t been sticking to the plan super strictly because of time, but now that I am back I will be getting back to it!!! I was just proud that I did three days 🙂
I also did this video that I found laying around, it was ok, but not my favorite workout.
I actually felt wonderful inside and out on this vacation, Hubby and I were so active and the eats were full of CLEAN FOOD!!! We also learned a lot, we had an amazing speaker named Albert Tate, and had some wonderful opportunities to be challenged.
Alright back to reality, I have laundry to put away, weekly meal planning to get to, and lots of blogs to catch up on!!! Have a terrific Sunday 🙂
