Just A Kid

When did I grow up?

Tonight on my drive home I realized I am all grown up. I know funny right 😉

Yes, I know I am not a child anymore, but sometimes I remember what it was like to be 10. I thought about my childhood and how I got to see my brothers everyday and how our schedules never got in the way of us playing in the mud together. Making forts out of blankets, playing house, writing plays, or even chasing after each other for no reason at all. Oh to be a kid again 🙂

But my day did not include mud pies and wrestling matches, I did grown up things :( 

While Bosco probably did YOGA all day!

After work I went on a speedy 40 minute 4.5 mile run with the girls and then came home to enjoy dinner and a movie.

Leftover tamales of course 😉 The best thing about making homemade tamales is that you know exactly what goes in them! We used all natural ingredients and went light on the Masa.

I enjoyed two tamales on top of brown rice, black beans, and corn. Then I covered it all with salsa, fage, and a sprinkle of cheddar cheese.

Hubby is not feeling so well tonight 🙁 This is the second time he has been sick this season, I think it’s all the interaction with the school kids he coaches.

So we have put in a movie and are going to take it easy for the evening 🙂

I am enjoying a cup of Peppermint Hot Chocolate as we watch 🙂
