Make A Difference Monday: BE NEIGHBORLY

Monday Monday Monday! I am headed back to work today after a 5 day Spring Break, I should be refreshed and ready to tackle the rest of the school year:)

This morning I woke up nice and early to tackle the morning before I started work. I did 20 minutes of Detox Yoga, from yogadownload.com, it helped me wake up and get my blood flowing. I also made a Green Monster.

It was not as good as it normally is, I think I needed to add more fruit?

I drank it anyways and also mad a Thomas Light WW English Muffin with Apple Butter. These things are packed with fiber and only have 100 calories!

After work I have kickboxing , and hopefully will get to sneak in a coffee date with a good friend, should be a great kick off to the week!

MAKE A DIFFERENCE MONDAY: BE NEIGHBORLY

Recently I found an organization online that is dedicated to helping people understand how important the little things in life are. They want people use their Mondays to help others, and they are doing it well.

…Every Monday Matters (EMM) promotes the fact that people have the power. People matter. Like voting in an election, every vote counts. Eat Healthy, Choose Canvas Bags, Thank A Firefighter, Exercise, Meditate/Pray, Support A Global Cause, Donate Clothes – every Monday people can make a difference in their life and the lives of those around them. No matter how big or small the actions, they matter. And not only do people have the power to make change, they have a social responsibility to do so. Not out of guilt, but out of an appreciation for every living thing in the world. Together, we will make a difference in the world and raise the collective consciousness, thereby creating a legacy worth participating in…one Monday at a time. There is nothing more fulfilling.

WOW, now that my friends is truly inspiring! Here is a challenge from their website, that I am taking this week and I charge you to take it as well.

Be Neighborly

  • Meet a neighbor you’ve never met before. Simply knock on the door and introduce yourself. Take over something you’ve baked or grown in your garden, or invite them to your house for a beverage or a snack.
  • Make yourself more available to your neighbors.
  • Mow your front lawn, wash your car, go for a walk, or play with your children outside. Or, if you see neighbors doing the same, go out and visit.
  • Plan a neighborhood yard sale or a block party.
  • Write a quarterly neighborhood newsletter.

Are you a good neighbor??? Remember, you have to be a good neighbor to have a good neighbor.

HAVE A HAPPY MONDAY!!!
