WOW well at least I have it down that usually makes me less stressed, the one day I foresee hubby and I eating dinner together at home is Wednesday night! I will not eat out I just will have to bring dinner to work on days that I am out late. With all these Christmas parties, I have to make sure that I really stick to eating as healthy as I can during the day just in case I HAVE to eat something that wouldn’t be my first choice.
SUNDAYS CHRSTMAS COOKIE EXCHANGE
What a fun party and a great idea! We chatted ate some yummy appetizers (sorry no pics of my appetizers) I ate a small healthy lunch so I just had a few tortilla chips with hummus, some carrots, a water chestnut wrapped in /3 sliced bacon(so going to try and make these), and a cup of peppermint tea. NO COOKIES FOR ME!!! We also played a fun game of Christmas Carol Pictionary, so doing this with my students, I got a great chewy gooey chocolate recipe from one of the girls,I know that these are hubby’s favorite. Check out the loot I got to bring home 🙂
The small tray is what were actually keeping the rest I am taking to the parties we have this week!
Here is some pictures of all the cookies!!!
After the exchange I headed straight to our coed softball game wear I FROZE my tail off!!!! Man WE KILLED the other team, and I got on base 4 for 4!
FUN DINNER
After softball I finally made a delicious shepherds pie(I think this is one of my favorite dishes).
Easy Shepherd’s Pie Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 1/2 lbs turkey meat
- 1 leak chopped
- 1-2 cups vegetables – chopped carrots, corn, peas
- 1 package of TJ’s instant mashed taters (these are SOOO good)
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt, pepper, other seasonings of choice
Served on another new plate!
Thanks to Angela I am now using Windows Live!!! Why have I never heard of this! I am still learning it but it’s making posting a lot easier! Well I am off to enjoy the fire hubby made and my Apple Cinnamon Tea, have a great night.
Oh and I did have one thing from the sweet tray after dinner, here it is:
Chocolate covered pretzels are my favorite, I love the SWEET and SALTY mixture.
