Yesterday after work I met up with my girls for our longest training run for our half marathon in two weeks. The best part about running a local race is that you can practice the course. It was one of the most beautiful 11 mile runs I have been on in awhile!
The three Amigos.
Gotta love running though the orange groves! There is a plentiful of these babies!
After our run I met up with Tiff and Amy for our "Friends" marathon slumber party! We all are kind of addicted to the Friends DVD’s at the current moment, so a night of vegging was the perfect Sunday afternoon treat ๐
While we were busy in the kitchen we enjoyed some appetizers: goat cheese, crackers (which I can eat), olives and Velvet Moon.
On the menu was Chicken Pot Pie from The Clean Eating Cook Book.
Because I followed the recipe to a T, I can’t share it ๐
But I am sure I can make something similar that you ALL would love!
What’s a slumber party without Skinny Girl Margaritas?
My guests ๐
The Pot Pie was really good except the biscuits were a little dry, need more gravy!
It went perfectly with the homemade mashed taters ๐
REAL FOOD!
Before we started our Friends marathon we played a little Dance Central. LOVE LOVE LOVE this game! I think it’s the perfect game for all occasions and it’s quite the workout.
We made some salt and pepper popcorn and got cozy.
Look who just had to join us ๐
Even though we stayed up way past midnight I was wide awake at 7am! So I am enjoying a cup of joe while the girls sleep in and then I am going to surprise them with this !
On the agenda today…more FRIENDS..kettlebells…and I am teaching KB!
Question: What’s one of your favorite memories about sleepovers when you were a kid?
I remember one time D and Ging put HORSE radish in my hand while I was sleeping and then tickled my nose, not COOL!!! But it’s fun to laugh at now ๐
