Well hello friends! Hubby and I had a wonderful time celebrating our 3-year wedding anniversary yesterday. I have to say, I really have the best friend/husband in the whole while wide world. He’s funny and caring, handsome, and he is a true gentleman.
On a whim we decided to take a little trip to Palm Springs for the evening. Thanks to Priceline.com we found a four-star spa and resort for under $99! The Colony Palms and Hotel. A true get-away and not too far.
We spent all day laying by the pool.
Good thing we brought our ice chest 😉
Filled with drinks and lunch.
I enjoyed a cold Orange Wheat in about two seconds!!
I forgot a bottle opener, Hubby’s flip flops to the RESCUE!
Snacks
We made cheese and turkey roll ups.
Soaking up the sun…
It’s only 105 degrees outside, check out those sweat beads. I know HOT!
Nap Time
I went ahead and checked out the locker room. Beautiful.
Everywhere we went there was refreshing lemon water.
and clean towels
Back to the pool, “OH Server we need a drink!â€
Fresh Strawberry Margarita
Much better
Rooms Ready! Because our check in was a little late they upgraded us to the Kings Master Suite 🙂
I think we need one of these in our room 😉
Wow, now that’s a shower!
We sure didn’t use this..
This would be a perfect blogging spot 🙂
Hungry? Thirsty?
A note? For me?
WOW!
Let the celebration begin!
Cheers to three years!
RE-LAX!
After getting settled in our room, we took a nap in the cool indoors. Then I we got all dolled up and we headed out for a night out in downtown Palm Springs.
First let’s play some crochet.
Let me show you how it’s done 😉
Our hotel was right off the main drag, so we could walk to dinner. On our way down there we enjoyed the modern art on the streets.
Oh silly.
Per everyone’s suggestions from Facebook we hit up Las Casuelas Mexican Restaurant.
Dining was outside and they had a live band.
Love the atmosphere
Hello there handsome.
While we waited for our dinner we did what we do best 😉
I ordered two grilled fish tacos with black beans and rice.
This picture does not do this taco justice! I only ate one because they were so filling!!!
After dinner we walked to a local Hawaiian Ice-cream shop called Lappert’s.
This place was so appropriate, seeing that we went to Kauai for our Honeymoon!
Best darn ice-cream I have ever eaten!
Such a wonderful two days celebrating! Spending the night at a classy resort only 40 minutes from the house was a wonderful way to celebrate our anniversary. It felt like a mini vacation, I was sad to leave.

I just couldn’t leave your site prior to suggesting that I extremely enjoyed the standard information a person supply in your visitors? Is going to be again continuously to check up on new posts
I’m impressed, I have to say. Actually rarely do I encounter a blog that’s both educative and entertaining, and let me inform you, you have hit the nail on the head. Your idea is outstanding; the issue is one thing that not enough people are speaking intelligently about. I am very happy that I stumbled throughout this in my seek for one thing referring to this.
