Tuesday Time to Feed Your Soul: How about a good book?

I am trying to keep track of all the fruits and veggies I consume each day for the March Booty Buster Challenge AKA MBBC. I am taking pictures off all my food for the month of March. I don’t normally take pictures of everything I consume, mainly breakfast and dinner. I think this will be interesting to keep track of, and hopefully helpful to all of you.

Snack: 10:30am: Peach & String Cheese
Lunch: 12:45pm: Large Salad with romaine lettuce, strawberries, pineapple, red and yellow peppers, wheat berries, cucumber, and kiwi. Along with some black eye peas,Thomas ww pita, hummus, and a laughing cow cheese.

Dinner 9pm: I didn’t have my ritual bowl of cereal because I met with a friend after AKB to talk about here wedding plans:) She so sweet and bought me dinner! Sbux Protein Platter, and Perfect Bowl of Oatmeal. This was a very satisfying dinner. I could have had a little sweet after, but I resisted.

WOW I eat a lot of FRUIT! I need some more veggies in there. Today I ll pack some carrots and snap peas.

MORNING WORKOUT+THE SKINNY BRIDE

This morning I woke up at 6:30am, which I was was proud of because I didn’t get to bed until after 11pm. I was out late because, I am working with a friend, we shall call “skinny bride”, to help her lose weight before her wedding. She has hired me as her wedding decorator/personal trainer. I am soooo excited, and of course am doing it for no charge:) This is what I want to do for a living(help people lose weight), so this will be great practice. There will be more on this to come.

Today’s run was an easy 3.5 miles, so I threw on my clothes and hit the outdoors! It was so nice to run outside finally, the treadmill and I are now friends but I still miss the pavement. I truly ran easy, I only looked at my garmin once, and just cruised. I will be doing my Yoga tonight because I have limited time this morning.Tomorrow I am running with a new running buddy who lived right down the street from me, I can not wait!

HOW ABOUT A GOOD BOOK?

When was the last time you curled up to a good book, that truly fed your soul? I know how busy life get’s, and reading for fun is some times out of the question. I think that reading as an adult is just as important as reading as a child. I know my Hubby is not a big fan of reading, but he has at least a couple great reads. If you do make time, or would like to make time to read for fun what would you read? I know for me, I think the Bible feeds my soul, and here are other books that I love to read as well:

Redeeming Love

Atonement Child

Cooking for Mr. Latte

Those Who Save Us

Trail of Crumbs

The Poisonwood Bible

Afternoons with Emily

Souvenir: A Novel

The list could go on……what books can you add??? I would love to get some more ideas:)

WRAPPING IT UP

I have a pretty easy going day today, there is Taco Tuesday and Yoga on the list, and I have lot’s of blogger stuff to catch up on. Have a great Tuesday!

P.S. I just signed up to volunteer at my first Marathon on March 22nd! It’s the inaugural Pasadena Marathon, so it should be fun. I am so excited, I have always wanted to work at a marathon instead of run one. My friend Moe is going to do it with me so it shall be a blast!
