This week I am stepping it up a bit. Running in the morning and strength training in the evening. I am trying to bounce back from a week of junk and no exercise.

Last night I came up with a new workout 🙂 Hot KB! I taught my entire KB workout with no fans! I was one sweaty beat!  It felt like hot Yoga except we were moving around the classroom like crazies 😉 I think my pre-workout smoothie gave me the boost that I needed.

A Kick in the Pants Pre-Workout Smoothie

  • 1 c almond milk
  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 scoop Vega Almond Vanilla Protein Powder
  • 1/2 cup French Press Coffee
  • 1 cup ice

This morning I woke up starved and I had a 5 mile run to tackle, so I had a sandwich thin and some PB to hold me over until breakfast. I can’t believe it was already 74 degrees at 5am!!! It was a great run and when I got home I got right into the kitchen.

BREAKFAST

I knew cereal would be the easy choice but I breakfast burrito sounded more fulfilling!

Breakfast Burrito

  • 1 egg + 1 egg white
  • 1 cup spinach
  • 1 diced tomato
  • a little low fat mozzarella cheese
  • 1 whole wheat tortilla
