It’s been a while. Hope you all had an amazing Christmas and such a Happy New Year! I am excited to sit down and have a cup of tea (off the coffee) with you all and catch up.
If we were having coffee…I would tell you that I am sadly addicted to Gilmore Girls! The Hubs got it for me for Christmas and I can’t stop watching (it’s actually on right now in the background). I never watched it growing up and I really love the humor and mother-daughter relationship. (My Mom had me at 16 too.)
If we were having coffee…I would tell you that the New Year’s Shred is off to a great start. It’s such a great group! A lot of us are doing the Crazy Sexy Diet together. This will be my third time doing it, the second not being as strict as the first time. This time I am sticking to it a lot more closely. I’m ready for a cleanse from the inside out!
If we were having coffee…I would tell you that I am thinking about getting on the “Oils” bandwagon. I have quite a few friends that sell them and have been posting and sharing the wonderful benefits about them. I have been doing my own research as well and I think it is time to bring us some natural healing to our household. Both of us have really bad allergies and we will take anything that will help. I am sure they will be wonderful for a lot of other things too. I’m still praying about it.
If we were having coffee…I would tell you that I chose my word for 2015! My word for this year is GRACE! Last year it was SLOW and I embraced it! So why grace? Because I know I don’t give it enough that is for sure, but I also need to accept it more and not feel guilty for having to say no in certain situations or when I screw up beating myself up and not letting God give me grace. So much to learn and so much to let go! My verse to go with this is, Hebrews 4:16 “Let us then with confidence draw near to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”Â
If we were having coffee…I would tell you that I am excited about these fun toddler years that are about to happen with RJ. I mean she is a toddler now, talking, walking (almost), playing and having such a spunky personality! I plan to pick one craft/game to do with her weekly. We are in a great rhythm right now! Breakfast, Gym, Park, Nap, Lunch, Play some more, Nap, Walk, Dinner, Bed Time…most days. But we have our sleepless nights and our naps thrown out the window somedays for sure. I love seeing her learn something new everyday and watching her interact with others!
If we were having coffee…I would tell you that I am so excited to be speaking at this year’s CHOOSE JOY conference in April! It will be a two day conference this year, all about adoption and infertility. I have such a huge heart for those who have gone or are going through infertility and an even bigger heart for adoption. I can’t wait to squeeze and cry with so many other amazing women.
So friends what’s new with you? Are you ready for 2015?Â
