{Virtual} Coffee Date

Morning friends! Saturday Morning Coffee Dates are back ๐Ÿ™‚

If we were having coffee together this morning, I would tell you that I am so encouraged and proud of our Summer Shred groups! They are seriously CRUSHING it out there. Each day I see a new post in the Facebook group about someone losing another inch or even better they are falling in love with CLEAN EATING!

If we were having coffee together this morning, I would tell you that I am crazy excited to head out the Chicago on Wednesday and get a little taste of what this RunWestin job would really look like. The nervousness has subsided for a bit and now I just super thrilled and antsy to find out if they are going to select me or not.

If we were having coffee together this morning, I would tell you that our GARDEN is in FULL SWING! We are growing zucchini out of our ears!!! We also had some artichokes, yellow pear tomatoes, yellow squash, bell peppers, and jalapenos already harvested. Sadly our Kale crop died and so did some our cucumber plants… not sure what happened, but they didn’t recover.

If we were having coffee together this morning, I would tell you that we FINISHED our last home study for our adoption and we just got our final paper work to review, make final corrections and get back to our social worker. As soon as we do that, then all we need to do is go in sign the final printed home study and then receive our license! I received the e-mail from our social worker on Monday, the same day I got the call for the RunWestin that I was in the Top 5! It was a blessed day for us!

If we were having coffee together this morning, I would tell you that I am sticking to the Shred workouts myself and adding in at least one day of running and one day of cycling with the Hubby. I am loving how much I am mixing it up! I can also tell that my body is loving it as well. My plan for July was to stick to two strength workouts a week, two days of HIT, one day of running and one day of cycling. Well, because of being out of town last week, I didn’t get in everything I wanted, but I was able to get in a five mile run while in CT, which was awesome!

If we were having coffee together this morning, I would tell you that I just started the new She Reads Truth Study: The Women of the Bible and I am thoroughly enjoying it. A lot of people have asked me how I study the Bible? Well, I use the S.O.A.P. method.

S = Scripture (you write the whole scripture out),
O = Observation (what is the Bible really saying),
A = Application (how does this apply to my life),
P = Prayer (pray through the scripture and all that you have just learned).

I love studying the Bible and I am committed to sticking to this study all the way through.

  1. Congratulations on all the beautiful paths that you are on. I am very excited for the well-deserved opportunity you have.
I also want to say how much I admire your commitment to the adoption process. There are so many children in need of a loving home and I wish more people would take that into consideration, when expanding their families.
I wish you love and light on these new journeys.

Ok, I promise I’m not going to comment on every post, but I just HAD to tell you how precious you are and how finding you on IG has literally changed my life…spiritually and physically. I first looked at SheReadsTruth because of one of your posts on IG and its the only thing that I’ve ever stuck to! I started way back with the Toxic Relationships study and haven’t missed a day since! So, thank you for being transparent an bold and sharing your life.
On the physical side, I have wanted to incorporate strength training into my running for so long but never quite knew what to do. I live nowhere near a gym, so, that wasn’t an option. Joining your SummerShred group has taught me so much about eating, training, and pushing myself past those self-imposed age-related limits, and I literally feel like a new woman.
On the adoption front…HOW EXCITING! And, how did I miss this element?? God has layed it on my families’ heart to adopt and we are in the process of praying through the decision and waiting on God to say, “Go.” I am praying for you and your hubby as you walk through this and I’m praying for the child that God created just for you.
Thank you, from the bottom of my heart for serving and giving of yourself. My family is forever changed because I hit “follow” on IG when I saw that you were following Him.
    Have a lovely weekend!

  8. Congrats Bobbi! I can’t wait for all your adoption stuff to be finished so you can bring home a little one!

  9. Wow, congratulations! You guys are so close! Good luck on the final steps ๐Ÿ™‚
I’ve never heard of She Reads Truth, but I’ll have to take a look!

  10. Good morning!
Congrats on getting closer to the adoption! That is so exciting and I am beyond thrilled for you. You are going to be an amazing mom and will just love it!
I’ve been trying to add more strength training and less cardio into my routine as well and so far it’s going good! Hard to give up cardio though, I’m an addict!

  11. Well good morning, my friend. Coffee in mason jar right next to me. I can’t say its clean. There is a little indulgent with my Almond Joy creamer.
    Congrats on the adoption process!
In facts, congrats on just the way life is really coming together for you and Matt.
It wasn’t luck of the draw.
But you putting the hard work in and putting forth what I call Faith in Motion.
    Amen for that.
I’ve been doing that this year, too. And while its been a little sporadic, I am still making leaps forward, too.

I enjoyed our coffee time together. Keep rockin’ it. Crossing my fingers for you on Wed.
