{Virtual} Late Night Coffee Date

This is not a typical coffee date post. It’s 7:30pm on a Wednesday night and I am having a small cup of Joe to power through some work. I love doing these posts, cause I get to chat with all of you about what’s going on with life! So pull up a seat, grab a cup of Joe or tea and let’s enjoy some REAL talk.

If we were having coffee right now…I would tell you that I am getting sad and excited that summer is almost over. Sad because I love the sun, excited because FALL is my favorite. I am truly enjoying every moment with having RJ in our home this summer. I have been loving our “Friday Fun Days”. As much as possible I have tried to disconnect from all technology and head out to do something fun with just RJ and I or with friends.  I have to say this Summer I have dug deep into God’s word and have tried to rest even in the busy days. Loving this summer season, but I think I am ready for the next (I think).

If we were having coffee right now…I would tell you that I am in a huge rut with my workouts right now! I just finished my last shred and I loved all the workouts!  I started doing some fun new classes at the YMCA, like Body Pump and TRX, but I am kinda all over the place.  For a while I was ok with getting anything in at all was good enough..but now I need a plan. So I sat down last week and made some new August goals and a new workout plan that will include a little HIT training, spin, body pump and a day of running. I love mixing it up, as long as I know what’s coming. Being in a season of not training for anything is hard for me, when I have something to train for I can be as dedicated as ever! I honestly even thought about training for a bikini competition, not actually being in one..but just training for one..ya that idea quickly left my mind!

If we were having coffee right now...I would tell you how I just got back from Palm Springs! I know I just got back with the Hubby, but my good friend Susie invited me to go out there with her and her kiddos to stay at her time share. We didn’t do a whole lot, which was perfect. We played in the water, made our meals together, had slow chill morning, and just rested. It was really nice to step away for a bit, before her kids go back to school and summer ends! I was blessed  that RJ and I got tag along for the fun!

If we were having coffee right now…I would tell you that the life of a stay at home working mama is hard work! I know that if you follow me on IG, it must look like I can do it all! Well let me be the first to tell you that it’s with GOD’s STRENGTH alone that I have any energy at all. Early morning wake ups to trying to get in a blog post, shirt design, workout plan for a client or just a moment to breathe is a constant wonderful balance. I wouldn’t change it for the WORLD! But the key to staying home and working is having a PLAN! Even if that plan get’s mixed up, tossed out the window, or changed for the better you still have some direction and vision for the week. This week I had no idea we were headed to Palm Springs, so I had to shift some things around and now have to play a bit of catch up, which is fine… I may not sleep as much the rest of the week. It’s a give and take. I am also loving our new office/playroom/guest room, it has really been a great space to get creative!

If we were having coffee right now… I would tell you about our two new cute designs over at Refresh Attire! Come on you all know I had to make a burpee shirt!!! You have until August 17th to order. We have some new hoodies, that are so comfy!

If we were having coffee right now…I would tell you how I can’t wait to tell you all about the next SHRED! It’s going to be something totally different than all the Shred’s I have ever done! It won’t just be a Shred for your body and mind…it will be a shred for your spirit as well. If all goes well, it should launch in October! So stay tuned.

  2. I love how you created and decorated the shelf in your playroom/office/guestroom! These virtual coffee dates are new to me, but they are super fun! If we were on a coffee date I’d tell you // Finances are stressing me out, I can’t wait for Hawaii, my workouts have been random and lacking, and I’m excited for the weekend. I would tell you: your daughter is gorgeous, Palm Springs sounds amazing, and my best friend needs your Burpees tank top ASAP! Thanks for the fun coffee date 🙂 xoxo, ganeeban
