That was the average wait time at every restaurant we tried to eat at last night! The Hub and I forgot that everyone is probably celebrating Valentine’s Day early π We on the other hand were just out to celebrate our weekly date night. We finally found a new place that didn’t have too much of a wait and the best part was we had never been there, it was the Elephant Bar.
If we do have to wait I don’t mind waiting at the bar. It kind of makes feel all grown up, except when I get carded by someone 10 years younger than me π
I ordered a glass of Cupcake Shiraz, one of my favorite reds.
Aren’t there wine glasses fun?!
We started our dinner with garlic bread and marinara sauce.
For $2.95 this should be serve to every customer!!! It seriously might be the best garlic bread I have ever sunk my teeth into. This might be the reason we come back again and again.
My southern date π
His meal was a southern classic. Three cheese Mac and Cheese, Chicken Tenders, and Coleslaw. Of course he gave me a bite of the mac… HOLY HEAVEN! So yummers!
I loved that all the calories were right on the menu. I went with one of their lighter options, the spring veggie rolls. Both dipping sauces were super tasty and their was a salad in there too.
We thought about getting dessert. They have Mini Indulgences, but for being so small check out that calorie count!! (810-1170 calories!). We passed.
Such a fun night. I love trying new restaurants and even more when we are pleasantly surprised at how good it is. Has anyone else been to the Elephant Bar? If so what did you think?
FUN STUFF
So we finally (only 3 years later) framed our autographed baseballs! These aren’t any ordinary baseballs, they are signed by everyone that was at our wedding. Because we are huge baseball fans we put one ball on each of our wedding tables and had everyone sign them. We still have three more that didn’t make the box..we will have to wait until we find a bigger box. We got this one at Michaels’ for 50% off!!!! It works great π

“Demonstrate love by willingly choosing to give in to an area of disagreement between you and your spouse. Tell them you are putting their preference first.”
Question: Is it hard for you to lose a fight?
YES!! I have had a lot of practice at saying to myself “it’s not who wins that matters”.
