A Country Christmas

I am getting excited about my 31 day yoga challenge! I know it’s going to be tough, but it’s just the push I need!!

This morning I took a sculpt class at my gym and really like it! At first I was a little skeptical, but by the end I was exhausted! The teacher really kicked our butts.

Then I had a few errands to run; picked up Christmas cards, Hubby’s gift, lunch with my bro (Rubios Veggie Burrito), and finished putting up more Christmas decor outside.

This year we are throwing a Country Christmas Party and we have invited all of our friends and family. We will be going to Tennessee for Christmas this year so we wanted to celebrate with everyone before we head to the south. What better way to do it then in cowboy boots and George Straight’s Holiday Album 😉

This afternoon I laid out all the details:  10583cowboy_boots

The Menu: Chili, Cornbread, Chips, Salad, light appetizers, root beer, cider, adult beverages, and cookies. We will also have some stuff set up outside for roasting smore’s with.

The Entertainment: My Brother’s going to sing some Christmas Carols, ping pong, movie in the guest room for kiddos, and bondfires to chat around 😉

The Decor: Our house is all decorated, but now I just need some hay!

I am excited to celebrate and the best part is it’s LOW KEY!!!

DINNER

For dinner I  used some leftover turkey and added it to the lentil soup I made last week. I just chopped up the turkey and added it to the lentil soup. I then stuck in the Crockpot on low for 8 hours. The house smells like Thanksgiving all over again!

I added in a little leftover stuffing too 🙂

For the remainder of the evening I will be sitting by the fire enjoying my new book, She’s Out of Control by Kristin Billerbeck.
