A New Kind of Nut Butter

“An Olympian wouldn’t quit!”, that’s what I kept telling myself on this mornings run!! This was my first Tempo Run in my marathon training  and I was struggling a bit.

The first two miles I could really feel the insides of my legs burning , probably from my speed workout on Tuesday. After my legs got warmed up I started at 7:50 tempo and then slowly worked my way down to 7:35. I pushed hard and it was a total mental GAME! I made it through and it felt great! After my run I did 5 minutes of stretches and my ten minute AB Workout.

BRUNCH

I was excited to make banana whipped oats this morning, because look what came in the MAIL!

I have been DYING to try MaraNatha nut butters for some time now and they kindly sent me two samples. One of their new Almond Butter and one of their Peanut Butter.

I tried the Almond Butter on my Oats and can I get a HOLY YUM! I am not lying this stuff is DA BOMB! It is nice and creamy and not too sweet. I love the texture and I think my favorite part is that it has natural ingredients and is LOW is sugar!

Ingredients: Dry Roasted Almonds, Organic Evaporated Cane Sugar, Palm Oil, Sea Salt. (Made in a plant that processes peanuts, soy, sesame and tree nuts.)

It is a bit pricey, $8.49 a jar, but it might be totally worth it! I can’t wait to try the peanut butter.

I also had a nice juicy orange and large cup of water with brunch.

Ok gotta get the heck out of here and head up to work! I will be at a Couples Retreat for the weekend so I am not sure how much blogging will take place, but I know I will have my first long run  in my training plan on Sunday with Angie!!!

I leave you with some pictures of the cutest baby in the world. I think I need to submit these to a card company 😉
