A Stroll Down Cannery Row

I love Monterey!

This town is so charming!

Hubby and I had another wonderful day playing on Cannery Row, but before we took off I had a 90 minute session at Bikram Yoga Monterey

This was my first Bikram class I have ever taken. I thought Bikram yoga was a lot like my power yoga I take at home, apparently I was wrong! It was still in a hot sweaty room, not no flow vinyasa.

It was a series of poses that we did twice with a lot of breaks in between. The teacher was good, but a lot like my dance teacher in third grade! She called me out for having GUM! he he..it was fun. She really treated each student, like her own.

After I showered up a bit we headed straight for Cannery Row! We took a ton of pictures here are just a few.

Hubby went with their classic burger.

IMG_1785

I chose the Farm Stand, minus the cheese with a green salad.

IMG_1774

Love the cute trays the food comes out in.

IMG_1787

Their potato buns are so GOOD! Might be the best bun I have ever eaten.

It was a little hard to eat, but so worth it!

Hubby has burger eating down 😉

IMG_1790

He was so kind and gave me a bite, OH WOW! This burger was amazing!

IMG_1791

I also really like how they gave the bill to us.

IMG_1798

We headed toward the Monterey Aquarium and our noses stopped us in our tracks! We smelt the most delicious homemade cinnamon buns 🙂

IMG_1803

Heaven in a bowl.

IMG_1804

We split this roll and the whole time we commented on how this needs to be on the BEST THING I EVER ATE, love that show!

IMG_1805

We finally made it to the Aquarium, oh the fun!

IMG_1806 IMG_1807

We learned all about Sardines, Kath would have loved this exhibit!

We tried this Chaucer’s Mead and fell in love! This is FALL and CHRISTMAS in a bottle! It has a sweet taste of cinnamon and clovers 🙂 I can’t wait to share this during the Holidays. We purchases two bottles and now I am wishing we got more.

IMG_1922

After our wine tasting adventures we had a little cocktail hour at the C Restaurant. Thank goodness there was a fire on the deck because it started getting a bit chilly.

IMG_1926

They had a happy hour on all of their small plates.

IMG_1924

They also had a free corkage for the wine we bought from Scheid. I really loved their Syrah.

IMG_1931

So romantic.

We decided on the Mac and Cheese, which everyone told us we just had to get it!

Garlic Fries

And the Calamari.

A fun Dinner!

 IMG_1937

We made a friend too 🙂

A Panoramic View of our evening. Breathtaking right?

Loved every bite of dinner, but got really sick last night 🙁 I am much better now and well rested 🙂

We are off to Santa Cruz to stay at Mount Hermon for the evening. They are offering us the Canopy Tour, can’t wait!

More fun to come!

(sorry for the exclamation marks, everything is just so EXCITING!)

*******

Here is a little fun video that proves Hubby and I know how to act like children wherever we are!
