About a month ago, FoodBuzz sent out an email asking for interested Featured Publishers to submit a proposal to host a Buitoni Riserva Pasta Party. I thought this would be a perfect chance to get friends and family together for an Italian feast! I was so excited when I received the email letting me know that I had been accepted along with 9 other bloggers to host a wonderful party. They gave me 10 coupons to choose from any of the Buitoni Pastas.
They don’t have Buitoni products many places here in my area, but I finally found them at Super Target!
I went with the Chicken and Mushroom Ravioli with Marsala Wine Sauce.
Shrimp and Lobster Ravioli with Garlic Butter Sauce
and the Braised Beef and Sausage Ravioli with Creamy Marinara Sauce.
Hubby and I cooked the meal together 🙂 These pastas were super simple to make. All we had to do was boil the water and throw in the packages. If Hub’s can do it, anyone can! (not that Hubby can’t cook, he just prefers not to).

To go pair with the pasta we had Garlic Bread and….
three wonderful salads. The first salad was a classic Caesar. I just chopped up some Romaine lettuce and added in Cherrie tomatoes, parmesan cheese, and seasoned croutons.
I also made a Mediterranean Salad that is not only delicious, but super easy to make and pretty 🙂 On top of a bed of spinach I added sliced tomato, whole slices of mozzarella cheese, drizzled with EVOO and cracked pepper.
The last salad was my favorite. I took a mix of spinach and romaine added in chopped red onion, fresh mint leaves, feta cheese, and watermelon. This salad was light and refreshing. For the dressing I had a sweet balsamic apple vinegar.
We had three wines to pair the pasta with as well.

I also had two sides of grilled mushrooms, squash, and zucchini.

I tried all of it! I really enjoyed everything. I think for only $8.99 these pastas would make a great romantic evening complete.

This best part about the entire evening was that I had all four of my brother together! There is always one missing and tonight we were all here, the smile on my face says it all 🙂
