Being Resourceful

Today was fun! I almost didn’t take a lunch break, because I was on a roll!!! Don’t you love those kind of days?!

After I finally got the house back in order and rearranged out fireside room. I broke for lunch. I got some inspiration from my Better Homes Magazine and I really like the way the chairs look in this position.

I am so loving these chairs!

I also had some leftover waters from our Christmas parties and decided to use them as decoration 🙂 It’s all about being resourceful.

We desperately need to re-do our fire place!

Kitchen cleaned!

New fruit bowl. I used an old platter we got for our wedding 😉

I also put out the fun appetizer tray I got from my brother for Christmas. It fits perfect our our bar area. I love white bowls.

I also displayed all of our Olive Oils and Vinegars. I am starting to collect them.

I was set on getting my new marathon medal holder up too, but I am stuck on where to hang it?!

I am thinking the empty wall in the hallway might be just the right place.

LUNCH

Can you believe that I have not had to the go to the grocery store in almost two weeks! Thanks to our costco trip 🙂 For lunch today I enjoyed a lovely Veggie Sammie and Bowl of Chicken Corn Chowder. These avocados have lasted a really long time!

Ok now it’s perfect 😉 Hubby filled my stocking with these little babies, they are the perfect amount of indulgence for my sweet tooth.

DINNER

Love that I was home to make dinner tonight. I went with my favorite GO-TO-MEAL!

In the oven for 20 minutes at 400 degrees. Then in to the broiler for 3 minutes.

I sprinkled my tofu with some Cowboy Seasoning I got from one of my Co-Workers for Christmas.

IMG_5510

It went really well together. I loved the kick it gave to my tofu. I baked my tofu for 20 minutes at 400 degrees and then threw it in the broiler for 3 minutes for some extra crispiness.

IMG_5513

YAY for sitting together at dinner!!!!

IMG_5526

Nothing like dining by fireside.

While Hubby watches the ULTIMATE PLAYOFF GAME, I am relaxing by the fire and getting my week planned.

In hand is another one of my Starbucks Drinks from the Grandparents.

IMG_5528

I think this might be by far the BEST hot chocolate I have ever tasted. The perfect amount of sweetness and salt..who would have thought!!! I must find this in the store!

Where I will be for the remainder of the evening 🙂
