Birthday Celebration #28 Recap

Yesterday was such an amazing Birthday celebration!! I couldn’t have asked for a more special day!!! Thank you everyone for your kind Birthday wishes 🙂

Before we headed off to D-Land for the day we stopped by Denny’s for my FREE Birthday Breakfast 🙂 I ordered the WW Pancakes, Egg Whites, Turkey Bacon and Fruit. As you can see the pancakes were as big as my head!! I ate about half of one and I was full.

I put honey on my pancakes instead of syrup.

After we were done with Denny’s, it was off to Disneyland!!!

This is a super cool feature on my new camera! It takes Panoramic VIEW shots!

Because it was my Birthday, they gave me a special Birthday pin, which was great because then EVERYONE wished me a Happy Birthday while I was there. I felt like a kid!

We went to California Adventure first.

Went on some rides… Hubby was a little nervous about California Screamin’!

I LOVE IT!

For lunch, we left the park and went to La Brea Bakery which is in Downtown Disney.

I ordered the Veggie Grilled Sandwich.

It had grilled portabella mushrooms, peppers, onions and zucchini. Plus a side green salad with balsamic vinegar.

I love how California Adventure has little tasting rooms where they teach you all about the process of making sourdough bread and tortillas. The best part is they give you samples!

We stopped by a Balsamic Vinegar tasting as well. I loved all the different kinds of vinegar they had to try out.

I asked to try the Red Apple.

I was sold and bought a bottle!! I will tell you more about that soon.

Right now at California Adventure they are having the “Festival Food and Wine Show: Art of Flavor”

We purchased two tickets for $1 EACH to hear about the Carina Wines!

While we waited in line we played with the smile feature on my camera.

The setting helps you catch someone right when they smile and will not take a picture until they do!

Time to enjoy!

We tried three different wines, one white and two red.

The speaker was very informative. I learned a lot of neat facts about how wine is made.

Love the tasting part the best 🙂

Can’t believe I got to enjoy being a kid and an adult at Disney land 😉

After the tasting, we were off!!! More photo ops!

It started to rain in the afternoon, so we got some coffee to warm us up.

Plus a CREAM CHEESE FILLED pretzel to share.

For dinner I decided to go to the ESPN ZONE. Hubby was thrilled!

I just wanted a beer 🙂

I ordered something I NEVER EVER get!!! A chicken sandwich and FRIES!!! I went all out 🙂 I ate about have of the sandwich and devoured the fries!

Then they brought me a Birthday Sundae 🙂

Make a wish!

HOLY MOSES! It was a chocolate chip cookie covered with three scoops of vanilla ice-cream, whip cream, caramel sauce,  fudge, and a cherry on top!!!

WHAT A DAY! As soon as I got in the car, I passed out!!!

This morning I am paying for all the JUNK FOOD I ate yesterday! I have the worst stomach ache and I feel yucky! I know a GM and some veggies will cure that real quick. It was all worth it, I only get to celebrate my Birthday once a year :)  Thanks HUBBY for making this day super special, I love you!
