Do You Know Your Way to Santa Cruz?

Is it really Thursday already?! I don’t want the week to END. Only on vacation does the weekend FLY by. We still have four more days 🙂

Today we made our way to Mount Hermon (right outside of Santa Cruse). Mount Hermon is another Christian Conference Center a lot like the one we work at. When we arrived we got to enjoy a Redwoods Canopy Tour.

We traveled down six ziplines across the forest, how cool is that?

I was trained and ready to go!

Once we were done with the tour, Andrea our friend gave us a wonderful tour of their conference center and then we checked into our cabin.

How cute is this??

I could so live here 🙂

After we were all settled in, we made our way to downtown Santa Cruz and as we started walking around, Hubby realized he left his wallet back at the cabin 🙁 Oh well we were on vacation, no rush!

IMG_1948

We then decided to make it out the Wharf instead of downtown 🙂 I wanted to see the BEACH!

We were both craving Mexican food so we found this fantastic place called Olitas (thanks Yelp) on the water and it had an amazing ocean view.

We watched the sunset while we sat down for dinner.

IMG_1961

Nibbled on some chips and salsa 🙂

IMG_1962

Along with a Hefeweizen..only drank about half.

IMG_1964

Out came dinner and my mouth dropped to the floor!! I ordered the Mahi Mahi tacos.

IMG_1966

These were off the hook! Inside the fresh corn tortilla was cabbage, Mahi Mahi, fresh tomatoes, and mango salsa. Their black beans were super tasty, but I wasn’t a fan of their rice.

IMG_1967

I ate one taco and was stuffed!! I brought the rest to our cabin, could not let it go to waist.

The view this evening was spectacular, so romantic.

On our way back to the car Hubby spotted a GINORMIOUSE Arcade we just had to go in. Hubby LOVES LOVES LOVES Arcades 🙂

Hubby wasn’t so lucky, ended up with 5!

Because we like it here so much, Hub’s and I have decided to spend another day here and then head up to San Fran to meet up with friends on Saturday. I know that only leaves us with 24 hours in San Francisco, but we will be back (I’ll be back in November for the Foodbuzz Festival).

It is so peaceful here and true down time is something we both really need!

Now it is time for bed, finally going to run in the morning 🙂

Nite friends!
