Domenico’s Italian Kitchen

Last night the Hub’s and I went out for dinner to start the celebration of our Anniversary weekend! We will be heading out to Palm Springs on Sunday to finish the celebration!!

We had never been to Domenico’s so we thought we would give it a try. It’s close, it’s Italian, and it’s new 🙂 One day we will visit Italy together, one day!

I brought out my big earrings for the event :)  Ok truth be told I love big earrings, but I always forget to wear them!!!

Hubby brought his charm 😉

I started with a glass of their house cab, not impressed.

I guess I really like a much fuller and robust red.  I am becoming a wine snob 🙁

My meal came with a side salad. It had two cherry tomatoes (really?), iced olives, and a ton of cheese that I took off. It was decent. I guess that’s what most antipasta salads are like.

My dinner made up for it all! The chicken picata was divine. Mushrooms, artichoke hearts, lemon, and the tastiest chicken all in a wonderful wine sauce. I couldn’t even finish it was so much, but I did eat all the chicken. It came with a side bowl of pasta too, but I didn’t  get it, I knew I would be stuffed!

Hubby’s meatball sandwich was GINORMOUSE!! He could only eat half. I stole a bite and loved it!

Such a fun relaxing evening for the both of us. I still can’t believe we have been married for four years, it feels like just yesterday we were on our honeymoon in Hawaii!

Glad I carbo loaded because I had a 5 mile run this morning and will have a 45 mile bike ride tomorrow!!!! Gotta love HIM training!

Off to work I go!
