Eating All Day


Today the Gang and I went out for a 45 mile bike ride (crazy right?) which would be my longest ride EVER! I set my alarm for 5am and had some pre-ride fuel. As always a piece of whole wheat toast, PB, and half of a banana. With a side of coffee of course ๐Ÿ™‚

Then it was off to meet everyone at 6am for a CRAZY HILLY ride, crazy being good ๐Ÿ™‚ I actually don’t mind hills as much, I just am not a fan of going down hill. I just don’t really like going fast, I know crazy right? We rode out to Lake Parris which is a about 15 miles from Redlands and then we rode around the lake another 6.

There was one hill that was so steep I thought I might have to get off my bike, but I pressed through and made it to the top!!! On my ride I had some GU chews and a Cliff Bar as well as drank two full bottles of water!

While we took a little break at the lake we acted like 5 year olds on the playground. Love this group!

The whole ride with stops and all took us a total time of 3 hours and 23 minutes!!! It was so much fun and I am feelig really confident about that 56.2 ride I will do in just 60 something days!!!

When I got home I quickly got dressed and made a quick protein smoothie to take with me to work.

  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 2 scoops protein powder
  • 1 cup frozen cherries
  • 1 cup of ice
  • 1 banana
  • 1 tbsp flax seed

Alright work to be done and then tonight Hubby and are going to watch the movie the “Fighter”, anyone seen it????
