Flat Tires.BBQ’s.Family.Shopping

This morning I left the mountain around 9am and went straight home to get some house work done, so I can PLAY for the next two days!!! I put my earplugs in and cleaned the entire house top to bottom 🙂 Aren’t these flowers a beauty? I got them at the Athletic Banquet. (check out the king in the background)

After I cleaned I decided to ride my bike to my Aunt’s house for a BBQ. She only lives about 3 miles away. When I took my bike out of my car noticed I had a FLAT TIRE 🙁 I decided there was no better time then today then to practice changing my own flat.

I quickly YouTubed how to change a flat.

I got out all my tools: Replacement Tube, Tire Pump, and two Tire Levels.

I bought this little pump for emergencies to have on my bike when I ride. I need to invest in a much bigger pump VERY soon!

It was a dirty job!! But, I am glad I did it all on my own.

I am not going to lie, it took me awhile. Mostly just the pumping part, I couldn’t get it pumped up full enough. NEED BIG PUMP NOW! Plus of course it had to be my back tire 😉

Back to new 🙂

Before I headed out I had a little snack to hold me over until the BBQ lunch I was headed to.

And of course fitness!! We are all so competitive. I have always wanted to try the perfect pushup. It was HARD. I could only do about 5 (ok maybe 2). I so need to get these. My Dad and bros rocked it!

This strawberry shortcake pie my grandma made was so delicious!! Can’t wait to try and make it 🙂

After all the fun at the house. Some of us decided to go check out some Memorial Day Sales. I am always up for some shopping!

 

We did a little shopping and then got dinner. I think it is so funny how we are all so GLUED to our cell phones.

Such a fun and productive day. Because I worked all weekend, I have off tomorrow!! I am going to meet up with some friends at the beach and go for a fun bike ride plus do some major relaxing!!!
