Mastering the Art of French Cooking

Yesterday was probably one of the most fun days I have had this year!!! D and I have been waiting to get together to make one of Julia Child’s famous recipes, Beef Bourguigno.

I tried a new French wine last night that went perfectly with our meal, Beaujolais.

This was all the butter that was used in the whole stew.

I am in love.

D and I couldn’t help but drool over the smell of these caramelized onions. The fragrant aroma coming from the herb satchel was to die for!

D representing. Did I ever tell you guys she was a high school French teacher?!

Dinner is ready.

I have to say, I might never eat plain old beef stew again. This might have taken all day to make, but every bite was worth it.

The flavor of the beef stock, grilled onions, pearl onions, and mushrooms were perfect with our homemade mashed potatoes. I savored each bite :)

We are already talking about making another gourmet meal soon; this could becoming addicted. Everything in moderation right?

Enjoy a fun video from our dinner last night ๐Ÿ™‚
