It’s about time I made my Oats In A Jar (OIAJ). Sadly I was all out of Barney Butter last week and saved the jar for this OH so special occasion. Why have I waited so long???
In the mix:
- 1/2 c oats
- 1/2 c soy milk
- 1/2 c water
- Pinch salt
- 1/2 a mashed banana
- 1/2 tbsp flax seed
- 1 tbsp brown sugar
Topped with some of my new cereal, Go Figure Crunch and sliced almonds.
This brings new meaning to the saying, “Lick the jar clean!â€. I loved every bit of nut butter that melted inside my oats that I would have never gotten 🙂
Tonight I am doing my track workout from my marathon training plan with my friend Ash. We are hoping to find a decent track to run on, that is not being used my the kids in Track 😉 After that we have our first Ragnar Relay Team Meeting!!!
Funny Story:
I ran track in High School and HATED it! I loved Cross Country, but Track was torture for me. I remember I wanted to be rebellious and go out for the Softball Team my Junior year. I tried out with another cross country friend and we were the ONLY two that didn’t make it!! Apparently we were good at one thing and we needed to stick with it. So instead of doing any running events in Track I decided to be a shot putter!! LOL..I still can’t believe I did that. Now I love the track and track workouts are my FAVORITE!!! Goes to show that just because you didn’t love at one time in your life doesn’t mean you can’t change 🙂
