This weekend was all about friends, food, fires, and of course I went to work 🙂 On Friday night we played a little Wii with some co-workers and then called it a night, but on Saturday night Hub’s and I finally had a DATE NIGHT!!!
We are taking turns on who plans date night and this week it was my turn. So I decided it would be fun to hit up the local Bass Pro Shop (OUTDOOR WORLD), because we have never been together. Let’s just say I felt like I was in some kind of time warp and had gone back to the SOUTH!!!! Hub’s on the other hand felt right at home 😉
Yep I married a Southern Boy!
The best part is they have a restaurant attached to the shop. I wish I would have brought my nice camera because the scenery around the restaurant was a lot of fun! They served us this amazing bread that tasted a lot like O’Charlies Restaurant’s , if you know what that is?
I ordered a big salad, trying to get all my pints for the HBBC.
I was going to order something a little different, but I thought what the heck I should try what they are famous for.
The Grouper….it was pretty good, I took most of the onions off they were a little too intense for my belly.
Hubby had their bacon burger, we all know that was good 🙂
On to Sunday! It snowed at work so it was a slow and quite day. After work we had dinner with some of our favorite people!!! THE EATON’S! We are co-workers, but friends too 🙂
Their home is so charming, once again excuse the lame iPhone photos 🙁
Best part of the house is the AWESOME wood burning fire place 🙂
Love what Liz did for her fall centerpiece.
I was excited to see that we were having something to do with toppings, love toppings!
YAY, chili!!!!
My bowl. Need to get the recipe to share with you all!
More salad 🙂
Giving thanks to the Eaton’s for a wonderful dinner 🙂
This morning I busted out my favorite snowflake bowl for some pumpkin-cran oats. Nothing like a bowl of warm oats on a chilly morning. I hear their is more snow on the mountain! I ll be sure to take some pics 🙂
Now time to get back to work for just one more day and then I am off for THREE!!! Thanksgiving madness here I come. Can’t wait to show you all what I am making 🙂
Question: Are you cooking Thanksgiving dinner? Whatcha making?
