For those of you who don’t know, Hubby and I have been meeting with a group of friends every Thursday night for over two years now. Our group is called GAP, Growing Amongst Pears. It’s 13 couples that get together to learn more about each other and digger deeper in God’s word. We have read through a ton of books together and have done many studies through the Bible. We are such great friends with each one of them and we feel blessed to know them all!
This weekend we rented a house up at Forest Home, where Hubby and I work. We all stayed over on Friday night. Hubby and I had dinner ready for them when the arrived. What’s the easiest thing to make for a bunch of people? PASTA!!
Lasagna from Costco!
I was sent a jar of Bertolli’s Arrabbiata Marinara Sauce from Foodbuzz’s Taste Master Program and I finally got to enjoy it! I really like the spices and it even had a little bit of a kick.
I also made whole wheat pasta noodles as well to go with the yummy marinara sauce.
+ a Caesar Salad
+ Garlic Bread

Dinner is served everyone!
After dinner we all headed over to the game room and club house to PLAY!
Then onto Dessert it was wonderful! This wasn’t the best choice seeing as I shouldn’t be having milk, but it sure tasted good 🙂
The rest of the night was full of games and laughter!
Sweet Elee joined us as well 🙂
In the morning the boys made us ladies BREAKFAST!!! I was so proud of them.
Look at this spread!!!

After breakfast we spent some times with our spouses. We went through a devotional together and prayed with one another. It was so refreshing! We watched an awesome video about STORY. The speaker was Don Miller, he was very captivating! I loved what he has to say about life. He motivated me to try and live out a more powerful STORY and not get wrapped up in all the conflict that takes place in life, but instead to appreciate it!
After some discussion we were on to MORE food. This time the girls made the boys lunch.
Ok so sandwiches might not have been as hard as breakfast 😉
Hubby’s the easiest person to make a sandwich for, meat and cheese only.

After lunch we went and played at the ropes course.
Too cute
After all the playing we came back and all made dinner. I chose something easy to make, HAY STACKS! Basically you just put Fritos in a bowl and layer it up with cheese, sour cream, and salsa.

We had such a wonderful weekend together! Love this GANG 🙂 We are so making this a yearly gig!

On to Sunday:
Today I ran 15.8 miles with some new friends! It was a beautiful a beautiful run. The sun was out and the weather was perfect. We ran a lot of hills that were tough, but I know they can only make me stronger.
Sometimes I forget why I run. I even said to myself before I got out of bed, “Why oh why do I get up at 4:30am to RUNâ€. Then after I finished today, it all made sense 🙂
After Church Hubby and I went to Mimi’s Cafe for lunch and then came home and took a two hour NAP! I never take naps. It felt so great 🙂

Time to prep for the week and get ready to get back to reality!
