1st Bowl of the Season

Can you believe it’s Wednesday already? Where did the week go?!

I am actually really happy to be going back to work today. I think the extra day off helped me to get a lot better and now I can work a lot better!

I got a solid 8 hours of sleep  and woke up feeling refreshed and rested. I am super anxious to teach KB tonight!  I know I just ran a marathon, but I am addicted to endorphins. I almost feel like I am going through withdrawals..ok maybe it’s not that bad.

Breakfast

I did manage to make it to the grocery store last night and picked up my first can of Libby’s Pumpkin!! So of course I had to make a batch of delicious pumpkin oats!

In the Mix:

  • a batch of my banana whipped oats
  • into the batch while cooking I threw in some nutmeg and 1/3 c pumpkin

  • Chopped up dried cherries (got these from the Expo)
  • Sliced almonds

MMMMMM! Oh Pumpkin Oats how I have missed you!

So life is slowly getting back to normal 🙂

I think the Marathon left me anxious to do another, but I am taking a break. Not a break from running all together, but a break from training. This week I plan to teach KB, walk my dog, go for a fun run, take a hot yoga class, and maybe even get back to some weight training!! I have to get back on the band wagon slowly. I don’t want to over due it, but also I need to get back before it gets too hard!!

Question: When you run a marathon, climb a mountain, or do any intense workout, how long do you wait to get back to your normal exercise routine?
