Things are a little crazy around here! First let’s start with lunch.
I made the perfect summer salad.
In the Mix:
- Mixed Greens
- Blueberries
- Strawberries
- Pre-Cooked Chicken Slices
- Fat Free Poppy seed Dressing
- Sliced Walnuts

I sat outside and ate and look who couldn’t take the heat?!
I had a reader ask about our buffet area so I thought I would post another picture. We got the two shelves at Ikea and I added the wine and glass holders.
I really like these shelves a lot. Best part is if we decided to remove the bar we have two nice shelves.
The bottom buffet serves as a an open cabinet for my dishes, water bottles, and placemats. This too can be used for something else later. I got the green boxes and white baskets at Ikea too.
After I caught up on a load of emails and blog stuff I started cleaning the house. It is about time I tackled the base boards, my least favorite chore!
It’s not so bad with the help of the Magic Eraser (Target brand).

Worked up a bit of a sweat and needed a little more fuel. Thanks to Nature’s Path I had the perfect snack! When they offered to send me some fun treats, I couldn’t resist! I love all their granola bars.
Then here is where the trouble began. I started getting really into cleaning every last dust off of everything (can’t stand dust) and as I was cleaning the fan in our room I didn’t realize the bottom came off when you picked it up and it popped me right in the eye!!! I am sure it’s going to leave a mark 🙁 It feels a lot better now after I iced it for a bit.
