Do you know that I have never really "shopped" for all of my produce at the farmers market. I have gone and got a couple of things on a whim, but it’s never been something I have done on a regular basis. One of the best things about living in So Cal is that we have Farmers Markets 365 days a year! Just in my local neighbor hood we have three, one on Thursday nights, one on Saturday mornings, and one on Sunday mornings.
So this morning I decided to hit up the one on Loma Linda to see what I could scrounge up ๐ I have always loved going to Farmers Markets, but still not sure what is the best deal.
I loved that I got to talk with the Farmers themselves and do some taste testing.
I think I did pretty well. I walked away spending $12 ๐
- Kale-$1.00
- 3 Avocados-$1.00
- Broccoli-$.50
- lots of tomatoes-$1.00
- strawberries-$4.00
- 2 mire lemons-$1.00
- Fresh Baked
- Whole Wheat
- Honey Bread-$4.00 ๐
We are taking our bread machine back today ๐ I tried to make some bread in it last night and it was a complete FAIL!!! But I am glad I know now where I can get some bread!
I also stopped into our local grocery store (Stater Brothers) and picked up a few things.
- bananas-$2
- organic creamer-$1.99
- eggs$2
- 3 organic pieces of chicken-$5
- fresh sliced ham-$1.50

- 3 bags of beans-$1.25 X3
- This bill was a total of $18.00
I am making chili this week ๐
So I spent a little over $30 for groceries this week..NOT BAD! I will do a full menu plan for next week on Monday ๐
Oh ya and I also got in a 8 mile HILLY run with my ladies this morning, FELT AMAZING! I am in love with the weather.
Could there be a better view?! (also in the voice of Mr. Bing).
Hubby and I are going to run some errands together today and make lunch before we go. I think this might be our first weekend "day" off for the both of us is about a month ๐
P.S. The crazy dinner party madness starts tonight!!!
